"You have 1 mission ready to complete!" This is really annoying. A "Complete All" button would be nice, although that's not what you implemented. But what you have now is just annoying when there is 1 mission completed, and not that great with multiple missions either. I'd suggest just having it how it used to be, and adding a "Complete All" button that completes all of the missions. That way there is no annoying pop-ups.
There was a bug where a tutorial for the missions wasn't being shown to new players, and so some players were missing out on that "Complete Now" dialog when opening the mission screen.
That dialog was always meant to show up for you every time you open the mission screen, to help you complete your missions. It's really handy when you have more than 1 mission ready to complete.
But it's definitely a long standing game feature that most players love.
It would be nice if the "Buff Up" button was only visible when there are ads available. I've checked several times in the last few weeks but I don't even check anymore because they are never available.
@Lightbringermain: Yes, that's typically how badge of the day works. Most of us can get an easy badge in one day, regardless of how well we knew the game beforehand.
The earlier levels are neat. You beat one and go to the next. After level 4 it gets really slow, after each level the world zooms out and you enter a "shop" area and then you have to save the game or skip saving the game. Too bad. Also, the "parachuters" are invincible even when they don't use their parachutes, kind of weird. I would expect slamming them into the ground to work as well as for everybody else.
@bananana: That's because your definition of a "philisophical" (sic) game is a pixel game. Other than being pixelated, there is nothing about this game that would qualify as philosophical. There aren't even any words.
I like this game, and gave it 3 stars, but the controls are just awful. It's way too common for the arrow keys to completely stop responding, or the view window to go off in a direction on it's own, or the unit selection rectangle to keep going after releasing the mouse button. The controls are just too poor and too slow.
"It was easy for me, so everybody else needs to shut up and deal with it. My comment is OK though, I don't need to shut up." -fredy1201
Thanks for that insight, fredy.
The interface should be less verbose. After assigning armies movement and attacks, the player shouldn't have to click three times to end the turn. Attacking from Alaska to Kamchatka is a bit complicated because dragging the map causes selections to be lost. After clicking on Alaska, you have to drag the map and keep dragging until your mouse is outside of the Flash window before releasing it. This keeps the drag but also keeps your selection.
Despite these problems, it's a fun game. I Liked it. 3 stars!
Hey Winter. Attacking from Kamchatka to Alaska is already fixed in the latest version you can play at warlight.net or in the Multi-Player version you can play here at kong. Sorry about that. We're also fixing the two-clicks-to-commit in the upcoming version of WarLight.
Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... Game Saved ... I like autosave, but you don't have to tell me about it every minute. I'd happily disable autosave if it meant disabling that too frequent notification. I loved Hands of War 1 + 2, but I'm not going to play this one.
Fixed now if you reload the game.
