@Chaosoffire: The best way to beat the Orc is by having at least 8 levels under familiar put into Lesser Devil. You should also organize your party from weakest to strongest, as once you get down to only a few characters left, the last ones are able to attack multiple times. I hope this helps!
@unEpic: I don't know what the different choices for the present do, but I CAN say that the locket takes the top spot under the map in chronicle. It seems as if two choices move you forward and two just end it there, so locket is one of the good choices.
I just completed Moon Forest after days of trying, and I wanted to share one way to (kind of) cheat the system. If you enter a dungeon with a summon that boosts max HP, like the rock golem, but then remove them, you still keep your boosted HP. You can then replace that summon with something that boosts stats. This doesn't work the other way around though; if you increase your HP cap during a dungeon, your current HP won't rise. This was a real chokepoint for me, so I hope that this could help others who are stuck in the same position I am.
Does anyone have any tips for getting through Moon Forest? I have all three of the basic enemies there. All of the enemies there 1-shot me, and I can't do enough damage to 1-hit KO them all with a move that is fast enough.
Odd thing I just noticed; Norn's stats increase the fewer party members you have, to the point of where she copies your stats if it is just the two of you. I have no idea why this happens. I am at Coastal City for reference.
Offline should give FAR more research. For example, look at the Brown Slime. To max its level, one has to get ~400 research drops. Even if you get the upgrade that increases the offline research to 2, this means that you have to do offline for OVER A WEEK to max its level. If you want to max its luck? Another week gone. Waiting for research drops is easily the worst part of this game. I really like it, but it's got some serious balancing issues.
Odd note: The skill Bloodlust increases strength and decreases defense. The way the skill shows up is "Decreases defense by -X," though. Because the skill says decreases and the number is negative, that would actually make it a positive number (double negative). I bet the game work just fine, but the text is slightly misleading.
Prestiging skills still isn't worth it. Sure, the MP growth was decreased from 2x to 1.5x, but the fact that all skills only grow by 1% makes it so the damage increase is so minimal it isn't worth it.
@nihilxaos: Commands always target units that fit the first category. This means that if you have an attack skill with the command "Self: MP greater/less than #" you will hit yourself because the word self forces it to be you. The way to get around this is by using a multi-command. Setting it to "Enemy - Is alive" for the first tag and "Self: MP greater/less than #," for the second (with and in between), you will target any alive enemies with that skill if you have the correct amount of MP. I hope this helps!
I like it. The strength minigame is a little... off... though. Items like the football and flowers (or any other object that has lots of curves) seem to struggle to attach. I usually lose because the object won't attach for some reason, making it fly off when I go for the next item.
After looking through it a bit, I discovered that the reason why I lost my progress was because it saved to the cloud on the TITLE SCREEN. I didn't have a local save either, so all of that work was gone. Why would the cloud save even activate on the title screen?
Many of the buttons don't work. Often I cannot click the 1 vial, meaning that I take damage. Also, many equations are wrong, as I got 2+1=2 and 3-2=2. How can you play a math game if the math is wrong?
Note: Because the pieces to the sliding block puzzle are randomized every time you enter a puzzle, about 50% of the puzzles set-ups are unsolvable. To fix it, you have to close the puzzle and reset.
I just started this game and I already love it. I got past the tutorial and saw the pink fish. Daring lil' ol' me thought that it would be real smart to go over to those pink fish. I gotta make as much money as possible, right? So my plan was nearly perfect until they started attacking my boat... we sunk in about 2 seconds.
Just for those who like math, you might find it helpful to know that each Object create 5^(x-1) matter, where x is the stage it is at. this is just the base, and I don't know if you can increase this as of yet.
Haha great anecdote. Yea the graphics on them don't exactly scream "dangerous" but people understand it soon enough :)
