I really like it, but... it's very unclear what abilities do until you try them. Which is fine, given it seems I can respec all I like, but I can't figure out what poison does at all.
I absolutely love it... except for the strength minigame.
That thing is annoying as hell. Block is also a bit annoying, but not nearly as much.
I just can't hit the keys fast enough for it, when the apples are coming almost simultaneously from multiple directions.
...Block minigame has the same problem, actually.
Yes, you can buy two items at once, one for free.
Go to parts, then move the part you want to where you want with the arrows.
Go to weapons, and more the weapon you want over where you put the part.
Buy the weapon, you'll get the part for free.
I say this is an incredible game, but it needs some work when it comes to lag.
When I started playing, just fine, no lag. Each floor down I went the lag increased drastically, forcing me to end on floor 17 with 1,210,700 points. I probably could've gone far past that, had the game not nearly crashed my whole computer.
Something tells me the game isn't deleting floors you leave, which it should given how you can't go back.
Wait, just remember something. The line you need to defend should be the area that your gun cannot reach. It's rather... frustrating... to kill an enemy after they reach it and have it still count against you.
You need to fix a lot of stuff. For me, my issue is that my units don't know what their range is. Everyone is running right next to the enemy to attack, even when their range stat clearly says otherwise.
There's a few checkpoints in the levels that stick you in extremely dangerous situations where you'll die anyways even though you're invincible, and I just encountered one that it literally right next to a rocket hammer.
I died the instant I re-spawned.
Please, do not let that happen any more.
Nicely built game, but I find it just doesn't work.
I'm fine with needing to place blocks next to each other to upgrade, but the fact that they can't do anything until then is kinda crazy to me, since enemies come in these huge swarms. Sometimes it feels like a downgrade.
Also, a huge swarm of baddies at the end of each level? Fine, just don't have them be guys that do insane damage to your towers, stop you from making them actually work, and also come in insane numbers and immune to mines.
This game really needs a Reset Level button, 'tis far too easy to get yourself into a situation you can't figure out how to get out of, or completely wreck your ability to continue because the only way to reset the area is not possible to use.
I do believe I hit a point where bosses don't spawn anymore.
I've maxed all the weapon upgrades, nearly maxed the armor and shield, and as of this comment I have 2031400 points and 32600 cash. Because there are no bosses, enemies no longer get stronger, and neither do I. Now they're just spawning like tribbles.
Brilliant.
It's a great game in most every way, but there is an issue.
Cloaked enemies do not make it more challenging, it makes it more frustrating.
If there's an enemy type or two that does that, sure. If they reveal themselves when they're near you, sure. But they don't, they are constantly invisible unless they're JUST spawning in. This is especially bad with the bosses, and with the Awoke boss it's just pathetic. It stops being fun when you can't hit them because you can't see them at all.
The Medic is one in name only, and fails to be a Jack of All Trades, instead being poor in the skills he needs. The end of the campaign is set up well for every class but the Medic, and as a result there seems to be little to no reason to use him, as his two unique Kill Streaks are rather pathetic, both beatable by nothing more than just a few more shots. He should be able to slowly (and I do mean slowly) heal nearby non-medic team mates, thus encouraging more teamwork and giving him purpose. His automatic weapons are beaten outright by his single-shot weapons, and his ability to fight is mediocre at best. He's basically a shoddy sniper with shoddy healing power, and needs some re-working. Otherwise, this game is easily the best of its type I've played.
I often lose control of my character, causing them to do things I didn't even tell them to do. This seems to mainly happen on Foundry, completely stopped my campaign progress.
I personally find thee currently way the defense systems work to outright ruin the game when they pop up. In a game where mobility and exploration are needed, they do a really good job at preventing that. Then again, I'm the kinda guy who prefers to take things at their own pace, so It's going to make me absolutely hate their 'speeding up the game'
I don't quite understand, you mean there is a bug in the shop that allows to buy 2 different things with just 1 click?
