Great game, I really liked it. It's not necessarily epic, though I can understand why people's expectations are there being that these guys (and LongAnimals also) literally make the best games ever
something strange seems to happen... the game lets you totally block the path, but when you do all the enemies seem to just ignore all walls...? Not sure if this is a bug or not. Enjoying the game though, keep polishing it
This is really awesome (for an alpha especially), I'm glad I stumbled across this game, and I hope you are encouraged to finish it, with expansion and refinements, your basic gameplay and upgrade/equipment system is friggin' great if I do say so...
And now just a couple criticisms: gold disappears a little too quickly, its a lot easier to get with the net obviously, but even still I move my mouse around as fast as possible and almost always miss some gold. Speaking of the net, when I am using it the game runs about 5 times slower for some reason and is very laggy.
Just a bit into it, but its a much better game overall than your last couple outings... still a bit rough on the edges, but for some reason I cant get enough of the chain reaction upgrade games ala infectionator, which this is obviously similar to (not complaining, love it, wish more games were made like this honestly)
I've beaten all the levels (including credits) but the badge did not trigger for me... :( Anyways, it goes without saying that it's a 5/5 however, I've owned the full versions of both Creeper World games for a while and love the series, I look forward to all future expansions and hopefully Creeper World 3 sooner or later (Creeper World...3d?)
obviously this is such a good game... BUT... I would love to be able to play earlier levels with full upgrades, especially if I've beaten all the levels... unfortunately unlike many other top tier TD games this game has very limited re-playability due to this. Still a 5/5, but its not -perfect-... Looking forward to the sequel!
It's cool, but would've liked to see an upgrade system outside of battles and more realistic weapon choices. But it's a cleanly functioning TD nonetheless, if a bit vanilla...
I really really like this... I love TD games and hadn't tried this one for some reason. Well worth playing, and deserving of a higher rating also. My only suggestion would be for keyboard hotkeys... oh and for a sequel!
Ok so air units always come from the opposite side of your base... except on level 8 apparently where the helicopters in fact come from the same side... good thing I wasted all that money on 6 AA guns lining the bottom of my screen that never had a chance to shoot at anything.
This game, honestly, has incredible depth for a seasonal niche game... Take some of the suggestions in the comments, expand and flesh out the game, change the theme to something non-seasonal and you have a classic game on your hands...
Man I love these games. Here's one suggestion that I think would be awesome though (especially for those of us on laptops...), make it so if you hold down a button, shift or whatever, and click in two places it draws a straight line between the two points (like photoshop for example).
This is not a bug. Might consider just not allowing you to block the path though, as this can be confusing. Thanks for the comment :)
