I did a hard reset and chrome is no longer freezing up at all. Enjoyed this game but it's not worth the unresponsiveness every time i open a new tab. Even when the game is closed. Developer response from HyperHippoGames We're constantly working on performance - let us know if you notice any patterns with your performance issues.
