2/5 - Decent TD, but there's not a whole lot of strategy involved: no choke points, no upgrades, no choice of level-up benefits (kinda what I thought 'RPG' was all about). All I could really do is throw as many towers up as possible, which sadly wasn't enough when rushed by 20+ Black enemies. There's just no way to build enough towers to cause enough damage with the cash earned to withstand some of those waves, and with the very limited strategic options (BUILD! BUILD! BUILD!), there's not much to be done about losing. I can't even really try a different tactic. I appreciate the effort, I know these games take a lot of time to code, but please take this one back to the drawing board for a re-tool.
Apocalypse is way too hard for just a 'Hard' badge. It might be winnable, but I'm not sitting for another 45 minutes to find out. Cool game, though. Nice work wx3lab.
Nice job, Kendric. This was a fun one, and makes me want to blow the dust off my copy of Dungeon Keeper 2. I think you've got a winning concept here. Just a couple tweaks to make it even better (or maybe include in v2?):
- Tone down the item power in-level, but let them carry over to the next map
- include a little more character dev with customizable stats.
- more maps!
- a sandbox or random map generator.
