*Spoiler* The end kinda fell flat for me, basically it ended in a loop hole of you can only go back as far as the machine was first used, so that means that her mother died because it was the first time it was used not because of the infinite universes thing, and Lionel knew that yet said otherwise for absolutely no reason at all.
Not just a Facebook style game, but WHY ARE WE GETTING FACEBOOK GAMES PORTED TO KONGREGATE!?!?!? I mean hey, if you want to put it on a flash games site thats cool and all, but make it less friend dependent.
I'd say it's extremely obscure in America, at the very least. It has 5 critic reviews on metacritic, 3 of which are from America. I'm also quite aware Civilization isn't an MMO... but there are many MMO-like games that follow Civ's general formula and would also be much more politically-themed than wakfu.
By political theme, it is a game built 100% around politics, not having politics a small side feature. Many games have a "government", but that doesn't make them politically themed. Most players will not experience the political side of Wakfu, nor will those who do experience the political side have a political experience, they will have an experience similar to a leader in a large gaming community. If you played this game you would see politics, ERepublik has a well built political system, but even in that game many players do not truly experience the politics.
The funniest part to me is that if we were to use his super loose criteria for "politically-themed", he wouldn't need to dig up some obscure game. Civilization is more politically-themed than Wakfu and I believe slightly more famous as well.
LordBucket, I didn't notice how big a problem energy is, now that I've played this game for a week enjoying it instead of 2 hours straight, and finishing it, I see why energy sucks because of your post. (sarcasm)
We're getting reports that developers the world over are recanting their energy-related ways in the wake of LordBucket's prophetic vision. They just didn't realize what they all NEEDED to do until he came along. A new era of prosperity and good-will for all has come about in the days since this glorious revelation has swept the globe, and word is that he's being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
