This was a lot of fun! Very short, but a neat concept and creatively executed. The only flaw I experienced was difficulty in getting one of the hallway barcodes to scan. Good job, and I hope to see more like this! :)
How very odd. After a few false starts, I managed to hit a few successive notes (450 pts), but then fell off the screen... which continued to move, without notes. The song eventually finished, but the screen continued to scroll quietly.
The music is lovely, but the screen is too small for the speed at which the little orb plummets, and the lack of any positional indicator is immensely frustrating.
I've been playing MUDs for the better part of ten years (since my high school days), and I have to say that IRE's games are really the only ones that have managed to capture and keep my attention. Without flashy graphics or effects, they've somehow created deep, immersive, and entertaining worlds that have kept me coming back. Every time I log in, it's like re-reading a favorite book and finding something new to enjoy.
This is a neat idea for a game, but it's not completely functional. ...Or, if it is, the options aren't sufficiently explained so that they can actually be used (irradiation, for example), or the med statistics.
I thought this was excellent for a first game. My only suggestions would be (as others have recommended) "upgrades" or variant types of balloons and methods of popping/collecting them, and perhaps a counter on the corner to keep track of your score as you play, rather than just at the end. Very nicely done!
I managed to get everything! I really enjoy these sorts of games, and it was great for Hallowe'en. I really don't have any complaints, and the twist at the end was delightful.
Clever concept, and I enjoyed the voice-overs. Excellent job on the art/animation, as well! I didn't run into any glitches personally, and, frankly, don't see what the controversy in earlier comments was all about. My only nitpick is spelling-related, but I'm sure that both the brevity of the game and little errors like that will be ironed out in the sequel. I look forward to seeing it!
This seemed like an interesting game, until I read Morv's responses to the comments. It should -never- be -required- to go to an outside source to progress in or complete a game. The fact that Morv states repeatedly (in a rather condescending sort of way) that if you can't do this or that, it "just isn't your game" is the nail in the coffin for me. Apart from the buggy gameplay and the ridiculous expectations that you will not (and should not) be able to solve riddles under your own brainpower without the implication from the developer that you're not intelligent enough to play the game, it just. Isn't. Fun. 1/5.
Wow. A shooting game even I can beat! ;) Lots of fun, and I didn't even need all of the upgrades (though I did end up buying most of them). Very cool- nice job!
I'm inclined to agree with DeathCrunch. "Cheater" is a little inappropriate for the safe code input- I fail to see why I (or anyone else) should be penalized for knowing the numerical value of a card. Additionally, having the developer's name still on the game is a rather unwise move.
