I´m playing a paladin and something doesn´t quite feel right, i mean valiant hammer is statwise a step down sword/shield and sword/book, and on the other hand 2w axe are useless for us. Why don´t you make the ret skill all str dependant, keep holy on a str/int basis and make prot str/hp? That way we could focus on a weapon config instead of only sword/tome, and ret based char could feel more "meleeish", and prot could wear a shield for a reason, but w/o giving up sinergy between all three talent trees. You could benefit from the healing as ret, but not as much as a "pure" healer, and same with prot. They are a hybrid class, so let them be so. Just a thought, in case someone else thinks it could give the class a little more edge.
