This is truly fantastic, and very original. Love the graphics and the music. The only negative point was how to quiet the town crier; funny, but should have been implemented differently.
Infinite money loop:
1. Play level 1: aim at training bot, release mouse, wait for victory screen.
2. Repeat a few times using "Replay" button.
3. Invest all earnings into more life, as you get a bonus for total remaining life at the end of the round.
4. Repeat steps 1-3.
5. ???
6. Profit!
You can get around $12,450/round once all your guys are purchased and have max life.
By far the fastest and easiest way to make cash. Takes minutes to max out everything.
Aside from that - good game!
To me, personally, this is not fun; it is just memorization of longer and longer patterns. Failing to remember the pattern results in death and starting again, until you successfully memorize the pattern. I think a bit more variety would help enormously - some different music, some visual variety, some interstitial plot, anything, really. The sparseness of these elements detracts from what could be an interesting game.
What would have been useful here is a way to "lock in" the set of choices you have made before, so that you can do some of the permutations without forgetting which things you KNEW and which you were TRYING. Granted, in the end, notepad (or a pencil and paper) do eliminate 100% of the guesswork... but still, it would have been nice.
This was a fun brain teaser.
Funniest game I have ever seen on this site, and I've played a lot of 'em. Very high quality stuff. I agree it could use a bit more depth, but as it stands the sound bites and animation clips alone make this worth a 5-star. Excellent time waster. Hoping for a sequel!
Colors are the key to this game's fun. The visuals are stimulating, which makes up for some other somewhat-dull play. The pace is great, however, and largely makes up for it. I think it's worth some badges. Nicely done.
Innovative. As a concept, I think this is great. In practice I think there is a bit too much overlap between shapes, such as "S" versus "5", and so on. You could take this game to some further interesting places, I think. 5/5 anyhow, for a refreshing idea in our modern day of tired game ideas. Innovation++!
Strategy for "The End":
A: Spam hobbits constantly.
B. ASDF as soon as boss is in-range. Make sure your arrows are not just passing through the top no-hit area.
C. Alternate between archangel and dragon; for each archangel send one dragon as soon as you have enough mana to do so, then wait and send another archangel, then another dragon, etc.
This works because of the different speeds of the units: the hobbits are dirt cheap and basically don't matter, except that they fil in the gaps when your angels and dragons are dead. The angels and dragons have different HP and die at different times, staggering the boss' movement and bringing it to an average of a crawl. I was able to beat the boss without taking a single point of damage to the castle in this way.
