Amazing! such a finely packed game, i enjoyed it quite a lot. A few suggestions that may make it better: 1) bullets are such a money sink, which is good, however i would like to buy a bigger wallet (costs 5-10k, holds up to 20-50k?). 2) Something to build on the vast empty space underground... maybe additional battery chargers, elevators or a moss/mushroom that grows... 3) More uses for cloth, maybe band-aids or a bug-catcher. 4) A bigger backpack. (costs 10-20k and holds 300-500?). Hopefully some will be interesting and doable, thanks for reading.
1) I think coin purse(s) will be like batteries eventually, you can have multiple of them and they will stack. I could also just make bigger and more expensive coin purses. 2) You'll eventually be able to build more elevators, but more underground structures (especially underground farms because they take up so much space) would be cool. 3) Good idea. 4) I will add a bigger backpack eventually, but I'm unsure if it should be as easy to get as just needing more coins (most players can easily get 10-20k). Big backpacks are also very valuable (almost gravity-defying).
Quite fun, for me Mages were overpowered. The ability to attack the whole line from afar combined to high attack means they rarely get to actually "fight" the enemy. at least for enemies that can die in less than 10 hits XD. dat last enemy~ however i never understood why knights having the most defense, died so easily when using their skills... Cheers~
Great game, a bit too short, love the jump animation. Challenge level is quite hard, however after some experiments i am able to get as far as the 5th guy in 15 secs without even using the hat. Difficulty mostly comes from: 1) scales too quickly. 2) thinking with portals. 3) no checkpoint. I was about to RageQuit several times... but my greed keep me going. I would suggest some indication of progress... like how far the door is, or maybe a pseudo map (just a line with "start" and "finish"). Cheers~
fun! awesome plot, easy mini games, i kinda felt that the party was really weak but somehow we survived. i hope you try different stuff in each release :)
Warriors, go block the enemy with your bodies and don't dare to come back asking for food unless you are bleeding to death or something. Archers are you confortable within the castle? just shot like 3 arrows that will probably be blocked by enemy shields and come back yeah you can eat the warrior share is not like they will need them anyway. Whats that you say warriors? you want shield too? whats that nonsense? i will just throw my potatoes to the enemy... be glad we share some food.
Oh you can skip text with ESC that good to know. great game by the way, it took me 3 tries to get 100% but it was worth it. so many nice little details... very few bugs. your decisions impact a great deal on the story. (spoiler alert) i would love to just be able to pet the fox everyday for +1 morale every 2 days or something XD. my only complain is that agility is highly penalized and not as useful as the other stats
Game runs smooth but after 10 minutes the lag is unbearable. Possible Memory Leak. Following my Specs: Intel i5, 6Gb RAM, Firefox 50.1.0, Flash 24.0.0.186. Lag stops if i close the tab with this game and rise again after 10 minutes of the game playing. Firefox is the only app running and no other tabs are open. I really want to continue playing, can you check this please? Thanks
All around a solid fun game. My biggest concern is how long it takes to load (both the whole game and the individual levels). Maneuvering is unexpectedly hard for this kind of game but i believe you did fine. Is interesting you decided to try and expand into the Machiavellian Suns lore. I hope we get more games like this. And as a side note i would really love to personalize more my character... A name? a color/icon? palette color for the ship?. Anyway thanks for the game and if possible think about changing the loading screen into something more fluid (maybe a ship shooting or flying?) cheers~
Even if what whyzkatt suggest is an acceptable workaround, it should not be considered the final solution for the "white screen", is the developer job to do the appropriate checks. pushing the job into the players and telling them to change the behaviour of the browser in order to play a game is not a good practice. Its not said anywhere, so i hope the developer is working to fix this inconvenience in the meanwhile. Cheers~
Hello again, i ascended a few times and found something unusual, Ninja seems to spend very little MP, but with Stamina Master can refill huge amounts (about 4 times his max MP) In contrast Wizard Resurection skill need ridiculous amounts of MP (about 50 times his max MP) not counting his other skills which are quite MP draining too... his max MP & Regen are not anywhere as good as needed to keep with it. So... i am now sure if what i am gonna suggest is even possible this far in game development but... how about a ninja skill to channel his excess mana into Wizard? or a wizard skill to drain mana from the rest of the party (kinda evilish tehehe) Well as allways i hope this info will be of use to the developer, Cheers~
Fun game so far, i have yet to ascend, however i believe criticals should always do at least as much damage as your max damage, whats the point of doing a critical if its damage is not beyond normal? Yes, i suppose it will eventually become somewhat normal... but it feels awkward to start with a weakened version of a critical and upgrade a lot just for it to become the standard. (x2 of max damage) I am not sure if i was able to convey my point but i definitely hope it shall help the developer somehow. Cheers~
Ah good point! Now that you said it, it does feel awkward when you deal a crit and the randomness of it falls on the lower end of your damage range, and causes it to end up being lower than the maximum normal damage. Especially in early game, when you have not built up your critical damage%, this tends to happen. I will improve the "randomness" of the crit dmg in the next update so the crit will feel like a real crit! Thanks for the feedback, cheers to you too :)
allright... surprising concept... I am very curious about what more you made in the game but IMHO the basis of deterministic dices is... kind of messed up...
I... i cant add anything new to the comments... they already said all the good things i wanted to say... well... i am sorry to be yet another excited player about this amazing masterpiece... but i could not stay quiet after enjoying so much a game... its been a long time since i played something that made me smile so much. I am only sad that my English is not good enough to express my appreciation, so i will just go with "I will be forever in your debt friend" (5/5, favorite, shared... and please, do spam me when you get your next game going :) ) . Cheers~
there is something weird with mouse movement than alter the x offset when leaving the game frame, which is quite easy to do by mistake. maybe the game should pause when the mouse leave the frame? or maybe it should update the mouse position each time it re-enters
nice game btw
A small bug: when selling in the market and buying again (very quickly) the game will not acknowledge your purchase instead you will end with a half "buy" button and lose all your money.
uhm... i dont know if someone else is having this problem but... Black screen on Firefox 40.0.2... the weird thing is that i have played this game before... not sure why is not starting... (the minigame did work and the download completed though)
Allright... if anyone get stuck... you can Inspect items... this is not a hint feature but rather a part of the game. Doing so is necesary near the end of the game in order to continue. Hopefully this will avoid a trip to the "solution" video. Cheers~
Ok i also had trouble getting the Locust (even though i am sure to have clicked all 15. one of them didnt add +1 but never appeared again. after 3 more tries on this badge i finally found a simple solution. refresh the browser and let the game download again. aparently the game "bugs out" (pun intended) when playing your second run. Cheers~
well its ok i guess... not very interesting compared to so many games of this genre but its a game allright. However, the simplistic desing is quite interesting, if you would pursue a retro pixelated game with fun twists for the genre it could certainly surprise a few of us, it does not need good graphics or good story. Just something unexpected :). Keep going and Good Luck
Thanks for your input. I admit that it's not very original, but i'm planning some interesting features for the future - but the graphics probably won't get much better ^^.
