A few more ideas: 1) Laser and most actions should consume "electricity", shortcircuits should also consume extra electricity (similar how holes and fire consumes extra oxigen) I lack the proper PHD but, its posible to use the laser to add some very low acceleration? maybe expending enormous amounts of energy but saving a few hours. The energy cell may be damaged and need a replacement. Changing the energycell may need Alex to be reboted unless the AI is downloaded somewhere until finished (maybe there is a laptop around). When someone reach full morale it may provide hints or flavor text. Alex could hypnotise the crew making them sleep for 3 days (i made the math: 3240L if their weight is about 80Kg each). Cheers~
I forgot to say which are vectors and which are scalars. Basically "S" should be a vector, and you should multiply P*(D/W) with a unitary vector (U) in the direction of the collision before adding with S. However i think instead of adding then chosing a minimum it may be better to have an extra multiplier "E". if S=M then E=0 ... if S=0 then E=1 (i leave the rest of the curve to you). Then do: X=S + U*E*P*(D/W). That will get rid of the need of a minimum and make it more realistic :) Cheers again, and sorry for the double post.
whoa this game is actually pretty fun!. however there is a problem with collisions. this is more noticeable when the disc is moving really slow. My guess is that you dont take into account the force that the player is giving to the disc which should affect the disc speed (even if slighly). For example: make the maximum speed of the disc "M". The maximum speed the player can give to the disc "P", The current speed of the disc "S". The distance to the real mouse position at the moment of the colision is "D". and the maximum distance the mouse can be at any time from any collision is "W". To calculate the new speed do: { X = S + P*(D/W) } and make A=minimum(M,X). cheers~
I found a loop on bill (ben?) second pre-panic dialoge. allowing you to fully restore his sanity while asking him about the tecnical part of the ship. getting about +15 on each loop. And by the way i Love this game! shur there is a few spelling mistakes but who cares, there is quite a variety of things to try, and you have to think outside the box a few times. i enjoyed a lot how Alex confort the crew. Would love a sequel with checkpoints and maybe a menu of actions: call to earth, start engines, turning off a module, block/open hatches, ect. Maybe the stored energy of the ship (your own life supply) can be added as a parameter (maybe you can sacrifice yourself to save the crew?) like... doing electrolisis to turn water into oxigen? anyway perfect score from me :3 Cheers~
I enjoy the ability to zoom in/out in town and map, thats neat, but why cant we also zoom in/out as we explore or as we battle? small details like these can help a game stand over tons of games that do the exact same, better, faster, cheaper, and ages ago. On the other hand, game is ... well... quite boring... the music mask it a bit but... it cant substitute good gameplay on top of that its frecuently interrupted by fremiums, not very enjoyable... i have to admit that the proyect is interesting at least... and it could be fun... but as it is now we have to pay to do mundane things... not very tempting to be honest. Cheers~
Nice game, a few ideas to prolong it: crafting from simple items to complex ones? maybe the funnel get a bit like a pinball with obstacles and stuff as you progress? or maybe a competitor is also trying to make profit on your funnel and you can drop globs of acid that will melt your competitor items?
using firefox, it seems to mess something in the browser, extremly laggy the size is way bigger than it needs to be. not even playable and i have a fair computer.
i been burning for a while but just now i notice that i can move at will... that i am... sentinel... i should be some kind of failed experiment but none the less i should escape... If begin a burning ball that its constantly dying was not hard enough, the creatures that build me were also experimenting with a highly corrosive acid. they call it "W4 ER" or something... touching the substance hurts more than i can describe. and they keep shooting it at me for god knows what reasons... no matters, i shall destroy every reservoir of the acid and protect the world from such evil. luckly there is plenty of food around. and though most walls are impenetrable some of them are so weak that they crumble as i spit at them.
Well the idea of typing in your keyboard to progress amuses me :) howerver the manual progress is way too little to be taken seriously. Also, the languages are neither sorted by learning curve nor by usefullness... Something like this makes a bit more sense (sorted from silly to dificult): Html -> Excel -> Batch -> Flash -> Lua -> Python -> Javascript -> Unity -> Shell -> PHP -> Java -> C# -> C++ -> C -> Assembly. Cheers~
Well... this is certainly not my kind of game, but it was quite ok. I would love to have more stuff to do than just avoid and shoot. like diferent kind of weapons or maybe the ability to pick diferent ships for each misions. o just some dialog? i dunno... something to relax a lil from the avoid&shoot. I loved how every time i died it feel it was my fault. learning curve was great and the music was nice the first time. (maybe get a diferent music per level?)
Anyway i am sorry i was unwiling to continue the game, it shows promise but it only keep my attention for a few stages then i felt it was going to be the same for the rest of the game. hopefully someone who like these kind of games more than me will give if more time and a better critique. Cheers~
the black screen is a reality, to solve it just refresh the page AFTER game download is done (btw there is no loading screen so you have to trust your browser loading animation) Gameplay is fairly bad, sometimes your mouse will lock and there is no saving feature (you close the browser and you lose any progress.) Demand chart was a pint interesting... but that was the only thing. To dev: you really need to give priority to a working saving feature if you want to continue this proyect.
Well... basement_dweller said it all, Still i am surprised with the "quality" of the gameplay, certainly does not look like a first try ... i would adventure and say that it looks like a snapshot of a game under development. But i have to nominate it to the award for the most unaccurate description: 8 levels (18) space ship invader toys (tanks) rush (more like crawl) think fast (or not) strategy (debatable) build towers (turrets) plus the stuff basement_dweller allready said. I dont have the patience to test if i will have a blast and become a hero ;) Cheers~
pick empty territories even if you dont want them. (you can sell the troops later and reposision them.) crawl slowly from the coast and avoid the center unless you have control of surrounding areas. give priority to protect your castles, and towers. avoid atacking unless you have almost double the troops and leave 1 warrior (def 1) in areas that are likely to be attacked. Good luck and have fun
@Quintar maybe if the not-hero would be under the belief that you are not prepared to fall on him he will be coaxed to go forth~ *hint hint*... IF you are really stuck remember you are not missing anything here. there is only 2 things you can do in that level ;) Cheers~
Ok, this is outrageous... in the arcade you pay Money because you dont own the machine and you are also paying for the electricity bill and general maintenance... I own the machine, i pay the electricity, i do the maintenance... what makes you believe you deserve to ask money to continue playing this game? because i doubt it has anything to do with Copyrights... Sigh... to be fair, taking aside your greed the game itself is not that bad... a nice remake of the original battletanks. However Kreds normaly give perks to games. asking for kreds to get diferent skins for your tank, would be totally ok... asking kreds for a continue in an arcade game is just shamefull.
Hahaha that was fun, fast and furious :) i wonder why the High scores does not update after i beat the game? (didnt you expect anyone to beat it?) The AI is quite nasty (as good as the player itself) so in most cases your only chance is to get lucky, all ribbons are posible to get and quite challenging. so i guess no "it was too easy" from me :P. And for the players who didnt like it Just stick to Sunny Day - Hard :) Cheers~
What should i do to be able to submit my score? I beat a level with over 2000 score but its not giving me the badge. surely i wont need to beat the whole game for a easy badge.
Ok, Awesome game, been here since build 20-ish, and been recomending your game to every person i know that likes space games. Will you continue to update the paid version? and will you still recive feedback from Kong? if so, @build 60: 1) Deadspace is pretty cool, however it's contra-intuitive than the autopilot turns off and you have to turn it on again to react to events. 2) "crates" may be changed to "wreckage" which makes more sense and we should be able to auto-open/pick/explore (in a similar fashion to Auto-dock & Auto-warp). 3) Notification spam must end, either make checkables that disable all (or specific) notifications or show them NOT in the center of the screen, like "Space news!" on a side of the screen or something... Game is lovely and can still get a lot better! Cheers~
kong has a file size limit, small teaks and bug fixes, i can squeeze in here. auto crate collect, notifications and the deadspace autopilot WILL make it kong.
As per Dev request, game completed on hard mode... not quite challenging but really fun and enjoyable. I love the clouds little faces and the controls are superb. Cheers~
Great ideas, thank you!
