~70 deaths before lvl 57, and after i finished the game, so 3 levels later i had 500 deaths. It also took around an hour for me to clear those three last levels while the others took like 1min max. The actual difficulty of those 3 last levels was fine, but i think they were just too long to be enjoyable.
too small hit box for bullets and coins, auto fire+left clicking shoots more bullets than its intended, and the game is in my opinion way too easy (last boss died with one space pressing, what is that?). Other than that, a decent game, loved the 8-bit world :D 3/5
3255.5 score, but doesn't let me send, because "not in top 100" wven thou high scores show that its the best score there is. They must bug or something

When i played, i maxed berserker hit skill first. Even thou i maxed it, i didnt see even one crit on the whole play throught. I never used anything else than axes, so dont know if thats the reason or if it just bugs but it wouldnt make much sense if the crit doesnt work for axes, because its a follow skill for axe mastery. I allways hit between the dmg range on the stat screen. This was a minor flaw compared to the others, but still annoyed a little.
To sum it up, make bosses and puzzles, give more information about weapons and skills and reduce the meaning of killing tons of trash mobs in the next chapter and it will most likely be my all times favorite kongregate game!

One thing that also annoyed me was the way enemies hit you. If many enemies follow you in a group, and you take one hit, you cant attack and your movement is pretty slow. The time when you take no dmg after taking a hit should be a little longer in my opinion, so you would not die just because you took one hit. With that added you should of course have less hp or the enemies should hit harder, so it wouldnt be too easy.
This game would be awesome if there wasnt so many flaws.
First of all, no bosses. Why? Bosses make this kind of games so much more fun, the trash mobs should not be the idea of the game.
There was no puzzles, unless you call finding the right rock to push, a puzzle. Some puzzles would have interrupted the image of mindless grinding of normal monsters, and that way made the game better, just the way bosses would have done it.
The lack of information in shop, is not good. When buying weapons from shop you cant see the attack speed, or know what the weapons special effects do. Are the scepters considered as maces, or are they their own weapon class that benefits from no skills at all?
Really good game, like every mushroom madness.
There is one lame way to get all upgrades by doing almost nothing, just play animal lair untill you get to level 8, and upgrade money rate, magnet, primary weapon and auto click. Then just leave your mouse be above one swarm and wait for the money to come to you. I just played some ps2 games for some time and then came back and bought every upgrade.
I personally can't resist doing this kind of things when i find a way to do so and it kinda ruined the game for me by making it so easy.
Maybe you could add a time limit to animal lair so this kind of things can't be done?
