I don't know if it's just my computer, or if there's something I'm not getting, but I'd say I only am able to attack every 3 seconds minimum. If this is some sort of error on my part I'll change my rating but 1 star as I am pretty much unable to play how it is.
1 star for the difficulty being not a lack of player skill, but is determined simply by the fact that if you do not kill EVERY enemy onscreen, you are going to get cheapshotted by all the enemies that get past you. If the enemies could not target you after passing you, it would make the game infinitely better. Right now I'd just call it potential.
Unbelievably tedious and repetitive; every game interaction takes WAY TOO LONG. Even something simple like clicking on the shop doesn't just open a shop menu, but instead you have to watch the animation of walking into the shop. Maybe if this game was a little more streamlined it would be a solid game, but as it sits the game is a 2/5
Good potential, great game for your first go. The one thing I would recommend other than what others have said is that there should be some reason for me to actually need to upgrade barricade. I never upgraded it a single time and cruised right through.
The progression is just grinding, and maybe I'm just not seeing it, but there should be a way to have your allies attack the same target you are. Having a melee ally running off to fight three other enemies at once and get killed almost immediately is pointless to the level that I would very much prefer being solo as opposed to a party.
This used to be a fantastic five star game. Now I find it to be pretty much completely trashed. I don't know what happened, but it has started running INCREDIBLY LAGGY for me over the past few days. At first I just blamed my computer for it, but I have no problems doing anything else or playing any other game. It will get SO laggy in fact, that I will be stuck within one screen, unable to travel anywhere, while enemies appear and disappear seemingly at random. In addition to that, this problem also has a wonderful side affect; which is that I will suddenly die, because the enemies that are appearing and then disappearing are apparently still firing projectiles at me. These projectiles are still doing damage, only extremely delayed so that they all stack up at once while I am staring at my screen wondering what's going on, then I die immediately. I loved this game before, now I find it unplayable, and it's a real shame.
The only frustrating thing about this game is that first of all hazards can be obscured by the foreground, and second there does not seem to be any hit protection right after taking damage. At one point two rabbits were hopping through a gravestone and i hit it and instantly died because all three of them registered as a hit.
The foreground was intentional - it moves faster so that no obstacle is ever obscured for its entire appearance. Also, a run of enemies is supposed to hit you more than once, if you make a mistake. Challenge was the reason for both these choices - the game is fair, but not forgiving.
Had potential, but fell far short of what it could have been. Awful hitboxes, extremely monotonous gameplay, very small upgrade system, and of course the autofiring factor. I am absolutely mystified by the fact that the aiming and firing is all done automatically. I find this to be UNBELIEVABLY frustrating, as very frequently it will target an extremely weak enemy directly next to you without being able to make it fire at a more dangerous target. This makes it less of a shooter, and it is simply a game of dodging.
Instead of upping the ai, or some other such change, the ONLY difference I can tell is that all the weapons your enemies have except pistols WILL 1 shot you, and to top it all off, your teammates will never be effective during alien campaign. Also, it very well could be my computer, but I haven't gotten lag at all playing this game...UNTIL I GOT PAST LEVEL 9 OF HARD MODE. I want to stress the fact that it did not appear to have significantly more enemies, so I am dumbfounded as to why this happens. This simply compounds the other gripes I have with the game, making it completely impossible for me to get past the 12th mission in hard mode. I love a good challenge, and will fully admit when I can't win because I'm bad at a game, but between the heavy lag and the unbalanced nature of the alien campaign I have to give this game a low rating.
Sure looks like it could be a great game, unfortunately, since there is no option to remap the controls, I am unable to play this. My arrow keys dont work, so I am simply unable to play the game. Change the controls and I'll be able to give this game a good rating.
Really iffy controls, camera moving constantly is obnoxious, it always feels like you can only move around a small portion of the level, and there is no real motivation to continue through the game.
Plenty of potential, but also plenty of large flaws. First of all, there is absolutely no point in having the ability to jump if the only thing you use it for is trying to jump on pumpkins. Because of this gameplay is completely mindless. Keep tapping space and walk back and forth; no strategy or any real measure of skill required.
Very promising game, but nothing to keep my attention. Fight, eat, rinse and repeat. Not only that, but I also find it strange that monsters equal to or several levels below me can still beat me in a few hits. The level 6 boss fight is a great example of this.......level ten and he still destroys me almost immediately. The first half an hour of playing this has been frustrating and monotonous enough to make me never want to play it again.
Yeah, seems like the game got too easy :( I had so many initial testers tell me it was too tough :(
