"N" shortcut for next wave stops working during each game. First it works, after a couple of key commands "Q", "C", "W", etc. it stops working to use "N".
How about automatic game matching based on player skill, like in Battle.net? I find the "search/agree/kicked/(...)/search/agree/go" cycle a bit tedious and unnecessary.
Fastest way to badge: * Choose Undead * Spend first 500 on Halbedier * Choose easiest battle first (percentage over arraow) * Choose options->auto-build * Simply Mass Halbediers in one line. Upgrades: Flailer for charges (Q), Speed, Armor
How to get the card:
- "defense" level "welcome to hell" on "beginner"
- use "barrels" (Key 3) to set of a chain reaction: press space while the previous barrel is exploding. walk around. you become the center of a very strong, ever exploding force. collect all black boxes to refill barrels as you go. use shotgun/minigun if you run out of barrells temporarily.
- in the time between two levels place turrents near the center and barricades around them. Always leave a space open in the line of barricades so you can walk in and replace the turrents. Be careful not to build yourself in.
- you can prolong the time between two levels by leaving a few zombies alive. They won't do much damage while you rebuild defenses.
- to kill devils simply walk around and behind them while keeping your barrel-explosion-chain going.
Easy as pie.
The graphics were great. The intro/outro animation was great! The music and sound effects are fantastic! I had a LOT of fun playing this. For people who think its too hard, you can change difficulty to "easy" in the options. On easy, I could finish the game in 40 minutes on my first try.
My setup for "the last city":
1x Dual Machine Gun (front, low slot, max dmg)
1x Shield Gun (protecting Dual Machine Gun)
2x Orbiting Mines Tower (front, high slots)
1x Time Gun (back slot, max duration)
The mine towers take care of all the stuff that flies around and behind you. With the dual machine gun you can focus on taking down bigger threats. With the time gun all towers profit: The mine towers can regenerate their mines while the machine gun takes out all visible enemies. Even the final boss can be finished like this, with little health left once time moves again.
I agree with other gameplay/usability suggestions. Daniel, have a look at it!
The time limit could be made a flexible part of the game: Your flame dwindles/your twig grows smaller if you don't burn enough people or get enough rain.
Having it fixed to 60 seconds makes it feel "unfair" when you die from it.
Idiotic game.
Max out crew, then cannons, then speed/turning.
Single out enemy ships.
Aim by firing a single shot (quickly tab space bar).
Fire all by holding down space bar when its right.
Close in, keep firing your cannons while the pirates fight. This way they sink sooner. The enemy ship wont wire back, and you get a great accuracy bonus.
