I was going to give you five stars, but then you went and said you hated ponies! Shame on you! No, seriously, five stars. Brilliant game. I love it.

Very good platformer, and I do love a puzzle platformer that manages to be challenging with ZERO monsters. That requires impressive skill in level design. I almost didn't finish the game though, when I encountered the long wall climb that ends in a choice as to which direction you're going to shove the box. After almost reaching the top and falling to the bottom twice, I almost rage-quit, before I succeeded on my "ok, ONE last try before I write this game off."

I loved the first Fractured back when it as still new, and now that I've discovered this one, I loved it as well, as much for the ambiance and theme as for the gameplay. The platforming is improved from my memory of the first game, and the presentation is flawless. Compliments in particular to the artist for making me fall instantly in love with the little girl. I do love a bit of ambiguity in my stories. The implication to me is that she feels abandoned by her father (suggested by both the sound of boots and the fact that he disappears every time she catches him, leaving her to fall to her fate.) Particularly with the final line, the poem likens her father (or whomever she's addressing) to his depiction of the sun -- too busy to pause and love someone.

I appreciate the thorough review. We worked hard on getting the style of the games just right, especially the main characters. One of the key details is your inability to see their eyes, both the girl and boy share this trait, and it creates a real disconnect from them emotionally to keep you a little off-balance. I'm glad you picked up on all of these things. Thanks for playing!

I enjoy the concepts (both gameplay and narrative) a great deal. I was able to find my way around by either analyzing the shapes of the pieces or occasionally by simply dancing on the edge of my current piece until I figured out where it connected -- and there's something to be said for the image of a boy whose world has literally been shattered trying to find his mother. The music suits it, the sound syncs up well, and the graphics are nicely done. On a mechanical level, the game handles nicely, though the ceilings have an obnoxious habit of hanging too low and cutting off my jumps. 4 Stars, and I'll be watching you.

Thanks. Hitting your hit is definitely annoying. That's a problem with Flash games some times, I had to make the world 500x500 to fit inside a 600x600 Flash window. If I could've made the screen bigger, a lot more would have been possible. Thanks for playing.

Nice looking game, but it needs words. A lot more words. Mouse-over descriptions of the items in my inventory so that I know what I'm holding would make this game significantly better. Explanation as to why things aren't working would also be handy. Also, I call BS on needing a screwdriver to get that window open. Finger tightening (or using the chair leg to clear the broken glass from the other window) would be more than adequate. Also, some idea of where to click would be very useful. I enjoy puzzles, but I hate scouring every screen for the right pixel to click on to get to the screen I didn't know existed to find the item that I shouldn't need in the first place.

Interesting. My family was murdered, I buried my wife and daughter, and then apparently I took my daughter to the park on the last day.

One of my favorite games on Kongregate honestly. Art and Music that support the theme well, solid gameplay that's easy to learn, and an upgrades and leveling system that balances fun against challenge nicely. And, of course, I love dark fantasy.

Entertaining, with generally good pacing on the upgrades. Would be much improved by finding a "Near Death" warning that doesn't drastically increase your chances of dying. Low HP + Reduced Visibility + Lag = Rage.

Great game, but it makes me sad. I want to love this game, and I want to finish it, but the item pricing and stat balance are so skewed, and the monster difficulty jumps so drastically, that I end up wasting about 45 minutes wading through crap monsters that can't touch me so that I can push forward another two to three screens before I'm forced to run back to town!

Awesome game. I've been wanting to see something like this for quite a while, actually. As far as One Winged Angel at 10 goes... meh. Just tried it. Didn't even get hit. Even though Windows Update tried to get me killed with a popup. Had a harder time with the Black Mages' remixes of Jenova and Dancing Mad at 6 and 8 respectively.
