My favourite causes of death:
Should have used the damn scroll.
Oh, the crystal golem is reflective.
Oh, it seems I stood on the grass.
Came for the badges, stayed for the fun, great job!
Thank you very much! That's like the most classic rogue-like death :P We're so trained by RPGs to hoard every resource and just reload when we die. Nothing hurts more than dying and then going through your inventory and noting the 10 different ways you could have saved yourself.
Ok, I'm kinda used to MMO genre on Kongregate (with all the implications), but there is another problem. I feel like I am treated like a complete idiot when I can't skip tutorial. Those gianormous arrows pointing every single step are demeaning for players. Like it's not enough, once I clicked on the right button (can't miss the friggin' arrow) and what happens? "Follow the prompts", the game says. Execuse me for doing just that.
At least the graphics are allright.
Ok, 120 stars collected and well, in my opinion the impossible badge is composed of approximately 40 smaller impossible feats... Still - one of the best games in a long time with the simple but powerful concept, perfectly fitting music and addictive gameplay. Well done! 5/5
It took me very long to realize that supermen are your friends as they cannot hurt you. Have 4 of them on the screen and wait for a single dangerous enemy to show up. If you can outmanoeuvre the super guys, you can take one enemy at a time with a gauntlet.
Yay, I load the game and try to continue the quest to kill Gate Sorcerors and what? They are nowhere to be found and only left their minions. Time to reload the game I guess?
It might be only me, but the rock boss is strange... At first he (and I do not suppose I am wrong when it comes to the gender) keeps his one hand where we cannot see it and then stiff pillars come from the direction the hand has been. And when it comes to the game, it is just epic!
I understand that this immensely sophisticated and complicated playing system requires step by step tutorial (otherwise we might not be able to click on the fight button) but preventing players from clicking on options is just cruel.
Sorry, I know the screen length is an issue many people address and I have a question considering it - how to get to the bottom options? Maybe it is just me, but I cannot reach lower sections of the game interface as scrolling applies only to the window.
Sorry about that, but the game has a terrible name if you want to find anything about it using google. Anyway playtheend.com website is dead and it seems that nobody is hosting the game anymore. Funny, but although the game has been awarded several times, nobody seems to be interested in it being alive. Bummer for achievement freaks!
Here I go, wondering whether should I recruit a medic to save a dying soldier, or not and my tank solves the problem by shooting directly at my lying soldier. Well done, gunner!
I still find something missing about the tags for this game. I cannot say I do not agree with "puzzle" or "cute" but primarily it should be "brutal", "violent" or "cruel" and such tag cannot be applied. It can be misleading, because some people want to play a game with some cute characters, they see a Dibble and think "ooohhhh" and then suffer from a trauma when they find out that the purpose of this game is to massacre those cute little bastards.
Hard badge, hmmm... I don't know if it's better to torment oneself trying to win against all those bots, cheaters and spammers, or to become one of them:P Oh damn my honest nature!
