This game could be awesome, but I have the same complaint that most people how. Rainbow Crystals SHOULD NOT be a one time thing. Even if I chose to replay a level I still lose it. That is a horrible design feature. I WANT to be able to experiment. The colored crystals can be a "use them or lose them" but the rainbow ones NEED to be reusable (once a level) and they come back every level (even if you replay the same level to get more stars).
How do you use the Werewolf? What does he do? Does he transform? And if he does, how? Also, what is the point of the characters that only add speed to 1 unit or add attack to 1 unit. Why bother with the +3 attack to one unit when I can increase ALL units attack AND defense by 25%.
When walking werewolf move your mouse and click on one of your units (not mages). And you turn into it.
Example: The werewolf can be useful when you first fire on enemies from afar, and then go hand to hand =)
As for the leader. Include it in your team is essential. Especially in the later levels.
Just so you guys know, there are 25 waves. Also, the ending really makes the game. Also, you can use the traps after you buy them several times a wave (just like the boar). However, there is a cool-down after it's used.
I would REALLY like to know what spread does. I can't tell any difference between a spread tower/weapon and a normal one. Is it a good thing or a bad thing? It almost seems like it could mean that the gun is less accurate, OR that it works like in Contra and instead of shooting 1 bullet it shoots (lots) more than one.
Ok, so there are a few things that need to get said. First off, with a name involving "Final Fantasy" the player expects a few things. NONE of those involve Sonic. Having Firaga and a few other Final Fantasy spells does not justify or warrant the use of it's name. You could say that the "X" part would MAYBE make the player think of Mega Man, but NOT Sonic. Next, the battle looks kind of "Epic" if you know what I mean. Also, this is in NO way a complete game. It shouldn't have been release yet. It has potential, but it's NOT a GAME YET!!! And lastly, the "opening" after I clicked "play" looked to be more of a glorified "credits" which just ticked me off immediately.
I liked watching my buck compete. It was fun. Sadly, the mini games are NOT fun for me. I get bored REALLY quickly with them. I had maxed stats until I got to pro. That's where I lost interest in the game. It took to long to raise my stats. I don't feel like being punished by being forced to play 4 mini games that are NOT fun to watch the fun parts.
It would be nice if the walkthrough said what Strength, Pick Lock Skill Level, or Knock Power Level (Intelligence + Earth Bonus) it took to open the Chests and Doors.
What am I doing wrong. The giant boxer on mission 4 is killing me on EASY!!! He's slaughtering me. I'm lucky if I survive until the time gets down to 2 minutes.
The stat increases gained from achievements should be applied AFTER your own increases. The reason for this is to prevent the player from feeling cheated. It cost only 1 point to increase a stat up to 20. Then it takes 2 points until 30. After that, it takes 3 points. The stat points that I get as a reward should be applied AFTER I increase my stats. I feel cheated that I earned some achievements and stat increases while my stats where below 30, let alone below 20. I feel like it was wasted.
I'm utterly confused on how my specials get more points. I thought it was a point for each level I gain, but that doesn't seem to be it. Then I thought it was a point each time I used it, but that doesn't seem to be it. So what is it?
I'm all for having a walkthrough. Not everyone may need one, but it will be there if they do. AND it will prevent people from getting to irritated with this game because they get stuck that they give it a poor rating. I also think the Walkthrough should be a general FAQ also. Like where the skill trainers are. How soon you can get a skill to Expert. What level of Knock or Pick Lock it takes to open a door or chest.
I really love this game, but it suffers from some really debilitating lag. At least on my computer. The lag gets so bad that I can't upgrade or place any units until some enemies get killed off. What REALLY sucks is that I can't cast any spells while it's lagging.
Sanctify has not worked for me. I REALLY hate not having a save feature. If you die, it should erase the save though. I just don't like not being able to close the window and pick up later. I don't want to have to do a marathon. I would also like multiple saves so I can try different builds. It really ruins a lot of the fun of the game that you can't save and pick up later.
Also, if you entangle the "knight" who uses charge, he will still be able to move as soon as he uses charge. Area-effect DAMAGE spells still hurt your minions. Although that may have been intentional.
I love games like this, but this game was really hard for me to like. The Mana Shrine really was the last straw. I can't STAND having to click on something for money/mana to buy more units. If it's NOT passive, it's not worth having. I also don't like not being able to replay levels. Even if it's only for a fraction of the money/points. It makes it WAY to hard to keep going if you get stuck. If you barely win a level, it was because enemies made it through and therefore you didn't get the money from killing them. Now, because of that you have less money to buy better units. Add onto that a bad purchase (you saved up money to buy a unit and you forgot to get another slot to take it into battle) and you and screwed.
You want hard? Just let the enemies live long enough to get the weapons and armor that you aren't able to get. They it seems almost impossible to beat them unless you are doing sieges.
