The problem is that your bullets move with the screen, you forgot to move enemies and bullets when you move left or right. This game's pretty old, so I'm sure you don't care about it anymore, and hopefully you've made some games worth playing by now.
If you're having trouble on the levels above 40, try killing everything but one (preferably something like a simple square. Now you can just wait for a powerup. (I waited for laser, as it wrecks everything coming at you) collect it and kill the last guy. Repeat this for each level. (try to avoid getting companions as they try to kill your last enemy)
I chose to leave based on the fact that she liked The Beetles, later I felt bad, to think that the computer kept me alive for 60 something years.
I mean, that makes me probably older than 80. My life was over anyways. Stolen by an eternal slumber, and I refused to spend what was in a realisticness, my final hours of life. There is nothing for me on earth even if I returned.
I played the game again, and knowing all that I still chose the escape pod.
11/10
I got to 50 saves and had like 20 lives left. Thought there was no way I'd get to 150.
The "Boss" drops guys one after another, I miss most, thinking there was absolutely no way I'd get to 150.
Then he shat out 30 guys in a row. I later got 150 saves.
I thought this game was shitty at first but really got into it around round 10.
PROS:
chain reaction caused a lot of cool game mechanics
I appreciate enemy's not spawning near me (made game playable)
Difficulty level is perfect; not impossible, but you feel accomplished at the end (yes there is an end)
perfect enemy balance, tanks are aggressive but squishy, and yellow things take more shots, but really just limit your movement (not as aggressive)
background kinda looks like a map, so I feel like I'm fighting the whole world!
CONS:
needs firing sound
can't always see cursor
levels could shift around (I found level 13 harder than levels 14-17)
This game would need a lot of work if you wanted to make it an upgrade game, it's fine how it is, a nice simple shooter. Simple being the key word.
4.5 / 5 round up to 5/5 'cus pixel games are amazing!
I'm not paying money/spending a god dam hour just so I can enter a contest. BAD KONGREGATE! BAD! What happened to just wanting to be a cool website? Why you gotta be so god dam money hungry?
A few things keep this from being playable. Music gets repetitive, so a mute button would be nice, there are no instructions so it took a couple games to work out that the mouse does not aim, instead it's the timing while watching the bow(which I thought was the best/unique part of the game). high score doesn't work, after the game, play again doesn't actually play again, it sends you to the menu.
Also the bow rotates a full 180 degrees. there is no point in ever shooting that low or that high. The only other thing is that the arrow disappears if you shoot another one.
Nice effort.
in game map showing where you've walked would be wonderful! If you've ever played relm of the mad god, it's the same. map is revealed as you travel. It's a pain not knowing where I havn't gone to look for stars. LOVE the game tho!
I understand that. Some of the things i try to give you a sense of position is the debris of fallen enemies, but i tend to agree with you. Many ppl are requesting some type of minimap, def noted. Ty
in my opinion, worst one yet. Small, but it took a while, since there were random things such as "OH I have to cut the rope so I can tie a frog to it" to get the alligator to show up, just to have it go back under the water." not to mention the lack of opening and closing scenes. I feel like their not trying anymore >.<
