Being outraged at a stolen game is fine, but I can't tell whether the tremendously low rating on the game is because of said outrage or because people actually don't like this game.
I find it extremely depressing that this is the most popular Protector game (with the possible exception of the My Pet Protectors). I suppose it's the most accessible game in the series so far, but saying that it's the best is like saying that Diary of Wimpy Kid is better than A Tale of Two Cities because it's easier to read. That's not to say that this game isn't great fun (my analogy was severely exaggerated to make a point), most the other games are just, in the strictest sense of the phrase, of higher higher quality.
This game is excellent. I don't know about the quality of the multi-player because I haven't tried it, but the single player is innovative to a degree that is often unmatched in paid games. The mini-games aren't annoying (as they tend to be in games), but are rather fairly skill-based (except for charging, which is just button mashing) and feel like a functioning component of the game rather than a tacked-on extra. The built-in history lesson is nice bonus as well. The ability to choose your own force and how you use it is fun and sandboxy while the limited units makes the game very tactical. Overall an outstanding game and a personal favorite of mine. I would rate this game an 6 out of 5 but that's not possible, so 5 out of 5 will have to do. Bravo and encore.
On a more constructive note, it would be interesting to see relationships with certain factions having to be sacrificed in favor of others (perhaps a sequel as a mercenary defending factions from each other) and other such RPG-ish dynamics in future TDs. The only gameplay issue is the lack of more specific targeting options, such as "closest to end of track" for obvious reasons and "most concentrated/closely packed enemies" for splash damage, etc. This game has a solid, 4/5 TD base, and with the RPG elements laid over it it is well deserving of a 5/5. Sorry for the double post, the combined size of these two comments was over the 1000-word limit.
@Danno91 I'm sorry, where in my comment was there a whine, cry or other expression of emotion other than slight disappointment? The fact that I am rather verbose in expression of minor disappointment and annoyance does not attribute any additional feelings, and can be attributed almost entirely to my hobby of troll-hunting (or at least troll-annoying into going away). @Maxxis202 I take all things that take up considerable amounts of time (especially time consuming gaming) seriously, and I am extremely surprised that no one else is upset in the least, not even the usual annoying whiners.
This is a great game, but I'm several hours into it on armorgames (because it appeared there long before here), and am now stuck in the awkward situation of having to do several hours of work over, or forfeiting the badges. I'm extremely annoyed at the devs for restricting access to the online save profiles available from armorgames, handsofwargames and axis games. I understand that armorgames and axis are their primary sponsors, so they have to give some precedence to them (i.e. naming them as such and perhaps only making the premium content available on their sites), but restricting save game access really isn't endearing them to me or (I'm quite certain) any other loyal Kong player and HoW fan. This is a great game, and it pains me to have to choose sides between my favorite site and a developer that continually provides quality content, and I can't be the only one.
Excellent game, but I noticed a few bugs and issues:
1. Occasionally the green ring around a certain node would refuse to load, and would have a little thumbnail in (what would be) the top left corner of said green ring.
2. If you create two connections from one node, and one of the things that the node is connected to is full, the node won't send any charges to either node.
3. I'm not sure what the gray bars in nodes mean (the ones that turn colored while upgrading). They appear to be inconsistent because in H (non-production) they seem to indicate how full the node is, but in the rest they don't change.
Thanks for any fixes, you've got a gem here, it just needs a bit of polishing!
I personally love this game and give it 5/5,
but I can't even begin to imagine how people can consider this good while no one plays Adventure Quest because there's no action!
5/5 great game, seems awfully similar to endless tower rpg though...
btw, @Gnimsh I highly doubt your axeman 3422 speed and 3306 attack at level 14 (my rogue's speed and 3 times his attack, respectively)
This is a fairly good game in general, and very good for its genre (browser-based MMO where you have to spend money to do things at more than 2 mph. A.K.A. non-porn related games with a girl with impossibly large breasts on the cover) I like the way thatyou wait for cooldown instead of actual porgress, so you can do other things that require whatever you were upgrading in the meantime. The other advantage I have discovered to a game where you have to wait four hours between clicking sessions is that I have read and rated at least half of all comments posted to the game. 4/5, btw
Thanks for your feedback. I will look into those issues ASAP.
