Yay, I beat the grand master. Oh, you've been training and want a rematch? Alright, let's see how much your monster has grown........weaker? What? You're back to level 1? Seriously?
And did someone just say they had a 70% chance of beating me? Excuse me, I have to go carve '100% win record' into a block of wood to beat you all over the head with.
Nice concept and design, but while it does take a bit of adjusting, the puzzles aren't very challenging. Also, the jumping could be a touch more responsive. Still, good.
Okay, I could use a lot of words, but I'll keep it simple (kinda). Ignoring the overload of glitches/bugs, this game is just a big grindfest, and the mechanics are too simple to offer much in the way of variety. For a start, you grind money by trading (find a decent route then go backwards and forewards, the prices never changed for me), until you get a decent enough ship and crew to travel without fear, then you can either: grind more money, or: join a guild and grind some rep, then go to the towns they point you to, then grind some more rep, then kill something, and that's it. (buccaneer's, anyway). You can also take over cities on the side, but that's just a matter of pushing the button when you roll in to town, and hoping the dice land in your favor.
Not great for a few reasons. The camera is a bit annoying, with your character getting too close to the edge of the visible screen, especially when those speedy cells appear. And some of the background colours make it hard to see the black splats. Unlimited storage fixes the lag, but why it's necessary for a simple game like this.............And most importantly, the game just doesn't feel challenging until half the screen is full of enemies. and then, it's just shoot at the large group while running around hoping not to get hit by enemies coming from off-screen.
Not really a good game IMO, just too unforgiving, one mistake, be it a miss or badly timed reload and you're half-dead, and trying to hit a stick figure way off in the background......
Nice quick time waster. Got 3:24 on 3rd try.
Note to anyone trying to get second badge: pause the game while the green sign is up, you'll save a few seconds each time. Oh, and if you're paused on the big stage, just refresh the page.
Huh, somehow managed to get through all the challenges. For evasion, you have to go in a circle, not a square, the enemy will try going in a straight line, they'll go just enough past you to not hit you MOST of the time. Still think it could have been a bit more forgiving.
@ahnialator6: If you're talking about the evasion challenge, how much armour you get wouldn't actually matter if you could actually avoid getting hit.-------------------------------------------------------------
@zacharias777: It's a pain, yeah, but the shield is probably under the dragon's minimum range, so can't get shot.
Well, don't think I'll bother trying for the last badge, having enough problems getting through 10 on regular random. I'm pretty sure you'd have to be a touch typist to stand a chance. If you work it out, you get 4 seconds per image, and it takes 2 seconds to run the line over a full image, so that leaves you with 2 seconds in which to figure out the word and type. No second chances. Somehow, that seems unrealistic to me.
Alright, but the ai is making me grind my teeth. especially with the medic challenge.
Challenges aren't well thought out, for example, evasion, there's a) not enough room to move and b) every time you change direction, one of the hammers will likely clip you, since you can't actually out-manouver them.
Only played the first division, but doesn't seem much to it, mostly I just kept hitting throw and up, praying the ball would actually go up, rather than some funny angle which made it bounce back past the person who threw it. Even with the aiming problem, it was still too easy, especially when you can just pummel the goalie and score.
Boring (even when bouncing around at top speed), basic, and easy, plus the collision detection is a bit weird imo. I would give it 2/5, but because some brainiac thought having to wait 5 minutes for a stage to end (I say wait, rather than survive) let alone 10 for another, was a good idea, it gets 1/5.
Oh, and for level 3, the boss is the slightly larger enemy in amongst the others.
Okay, intensity in an action game is a noble goal, however, regular instant death at the start of waves due to every single enemy ship hugging you at the same time is just nasty.
Okay, not a bad idea, but it really irks me that once different speed projectiles come out, (missiles on lvl 5) it is possible to be hit from two sides simultaneously, making it impossible to get both. And the upgrades (ie. the shield) sound like they're supposed to be helpful, but not necessary.
