LOUD FREAKING MUSIC. Please, set volumes to low and let players adjust their home audio setup to up the volume if they need to. I had to drop my sound so low I can't even hear the words said (it's just a susurrus) in a youtube video at full volume anymore.
Also, another really bad thing is the matchmaking system. It currently does not match up based on skill, or rebalance, and this causes a huge quality gap between teams to the point it becomes unfun to continue playing.
No one really seems to be on, though it is 11 PM CST. Also, there should not be any weapon that can penetrate hard cover, period. Soft platforms should be more easily penetratable, ie; laser shots and shotgun blasts should puncture a short distance through, but uzi fire should not. General rule of thumb- if it hits HARD but slow, it should pierce SOFT cover only. Flamethrower is particularily egregrious about this as it can burn any safe zone on the small factory map, period.
We’re working on spreading the word, but you can also help to spread the word to get more people online. Keep the feedback coming it’s always good to hear what the players have to say.
As for the plasma being higher DPS than rockets- easily just looking at the given stats. However, their DPR (Damage Per Risk) is far far less than rockets, which travel the entire screen and with seeking maxxed will hit dang near anything. Two splits, one acid, one weaken is my rocket setup and it's got me through everything.... except atropos. ._.
Very good, but the very short duration of the walls and the fact that there's a border to the game area that's invisible that you can't start a line draw is a bit of a downer.
We use ad blockers because of annoying, obtrusive ads and general computer safety. If you want to make money off of it, either a) sell it, or b) put it through adf.ly or something similar where you get money based on clickthroughs. You get an automatic 1/5 from me because of that ad crap.
Very boring, repetitive game. Doesn't even have the fun of the homerun styled games where even though it's flat upgrades, every upgrade feels like a solid investment. This... eh.
it just spreads after awhile, making it less effective against massed infantry- Which, when used against enemy ships, is less an issue since there's such a large target. Many more projectiles each dealing low damage that spread/random fire would be much more appropriate. Chain shot as well was used for destroying rigging and leaving large gaping holes in the ships, due to the linked cannonballs- they were sub-bore cannonballs linked with chain. They had a less effective range than regular cannonballs, but they certainly didn't just drop off as much sooner as you illustrate.
Still, for what it is, it's not that bad.
even with a crapton of handling, handling is bad. Fits the way that actual ships move, but it's anti-fun. Also, some of the missions feel like they're designed just to make you lose, like the "defend the ally ship that sits there and does nothing to defend itself" missions. Another qualm I have is that you have the shot going in order of power, and that as power increases range decreases- In actuality, grape shot was very weak against a ship, but excellent against the crew, and was used to take a ship mostly intact while killing off any crew- often used by boarding parties of pirates. It wasn't strickly musket balls either- Especially when a crew ran low/out of ammo, they'd use whatever is available at hand, and THOSE would certainly have crap range- But actual grape shot, due to how it's fired, actually has relatively decent range-
need to play music again after you guess right, maybe longer clips or secondary clips as clues, not just obvious things that don't really help like genres. Would be nice to get an ending screen as well, and more to guess! Very fun.
Needle on the fence isn't a big deal: read next time and you'll see it says "There's nothing in particular of interest on this part of the fence at this time" or something to that effect: Besides, it's in the style of the old Sierra games. One complaint I do have is that damnedable driving game though; Even while parked using the handbrake, you can suddenly start sliding sideways/backwards/forwards for no reason against all logic right into a wall. The controls are also very touchy and the track far too narrow to do it at any reasonable speed- you basically have to be holding the handbrake at all times.
It will be fixed as we implement a more advanced match making system.
