at least make the AI's cheating be less blatant. There are times when I've been swarmed by 6+ of the same unit, which is impossible to do without cheating as there are only 5 slots to summon units. And it's been said before, but it can never be said enough- gold is far too crucial and the card sorting system is sloppy at best.
Uh I randomly encountered a fairly major glitch and I not sure what the cause was. I was fighting some enemies around the stairs downwards and then suddenly gained at least 5 levels, which was awesome, and then a solid block of random green and blue items, as well as a massive amount of mana pearls appeared near the stairs, which was even better... But then all the sprites and everything but the ground would periodically disappear, and then when I finally went to go loot the aforementioned block of items, my health rapidly decreased and I died pretty much instantly, and now the game screen is black. Anyone else have this problem?
protip: triple fireball pyromancer with points in passive holy skills is easy mode. About halfway through the game I was getting gold badges on all levels without trying. +60% crit chance, +44% run speed (so you can easily dodge everything) and a massively powerful triple fireball spell for almost no mana means you can just run around like a headless chicken the entire level spamming triple fireball. Almost needs an autofire key just for that build.
Again, only put points in double and then triple fireball, and all the passive skills for fire and divine trees (except the talents that only focus on a specific skill that isn't a fireball spell, of course)
A fun interpretation of the tower defense-style games, but I find some elements need explaining. What does "stores 5 extra attacks" mean, anyhow? Perhaps an in-game help menu would be a worthwhile addition.
A solid 4 otherwise.
>leveling speed increased 20%
>next wave button now awards additional experience
finally FINALLY for a while there it felt like WoW all over again. What with the 3 talent trees and absurdly long leveling
I really hate it when people put social commentary in a flash game. I mean, come on. Who do you think your audience is? Protip- it's mostly kids.
Don't expect to start a revolution with a bunch of 15- year olds looking to kill some time in their english class.
Also, if you really wanted to stick it to the man you wouldn't have submitted it to a website now owned by gamestop.
Well, at least it plays like a proper RPG now and not some atrocious endless battle like you previous "games". It still reeks of LOL KAWAII DESU anime garbage, but at least its LOL KAWAII DESU anime garbage with acceptable levels of playability. And it's arguably one of the lengthiest games on kongregate, barring those colossal monstrosities known as Every Protector Game Ever, for what it's worth.
My only serious objective complaint is the game is too easy and some of the super-powerful skills are available simply too early to anyone who is willing to put in just a little bit of extra grinding. More skills should have been quest rewards, basically.
game no longer loads for me. Just leaves me at a white screen. noooooo this was one of my favorite TDs!
Cannons do need to be fixed though. They are essential in higher difficulties, yet too often do I find myself wishing I could control when they fire. Perhaps linking up cannons to the number keys and have each level of cannon have a separate cooldown? I find they fire at the beginning of a wave too often, completely wasting the piercing effect that makes them so invaluable. Speaking of cooldowns, could you pretty please make the reload time less unbearably long? The way it is now, I'm lucky if I get 2 cannon shots a wave. I know they aren't machine guns, but I feel like they are making each individual cannonball between shots.
I had this nightmare the other day that all these kids who grew up only playing all those damned FPS games like Halo suddenly became game developers and started putting out games they called revolutionary and unique, but they were just all the old arcade games like asteroids and tetris and snake given better graphics. They had just *gasp* never played any of the original games.
And then I played this game. Perhaps I have the power of prophecy or something. I believe it would behoove playpanic to play some of these older arcade games before going around claiming to introduce fresh mechanics.
2.5 for a much-needed makeover, but the game itself is prone to lagging, and the mouse sensitivity is apparently on a hair-trigger.
How on earth is it even possible to score 9 quintillion points? Nobody else in the leaderboards has broken 5 million. How long do you even have to run the game?
Its like a point-n-click adventure, except you tell us what to click so its not near as fun. Also it's far too short. Although the graphics are groovy and the music is a nice change from all the generic music other games have.
no sound or background music ingame? is this a bug on my end? Someone please tell me if they are getting music/ sound effects because otherwise I can't see this any higher than 2/5
playing a game in utter silence is no fun at all
