I find too much of the "skill" to this game is memorizing the different possible areas. After a few zones, the character is just too slow to get where you need him if you don't know that in advance.
Kinda easy, you only need to make more flat land until you have enough people/mana to curbstomp everyone. For few later ones, it's instant win once you got enough mana for the flood spell.
I found the normal difficulty to be easy, but the harder one's seem to be completely luck-based... You keep losing people and food to unavoidable random events, and there's no hope unless you start right next to both a hospital and laboratory.
The enemies are larger than they appear... I find that very confusing... it's not uncommon to move through a cloud of enemies, appearing to not touch any of them, but still getting damage and losing my chain...
