Scorchx, it's because the only BOTD games they do now are games that are non-flash (so comparatively recent games considering their overall library) and games that were given badges before Kong stopped accepting new games (or updates to existing games). So, there's a very small selection of games that they cycle through for BOTDs.
Great game and design! But the hit boxes need to be bigger. The second-to-last last step involving the hook... I had to check out a walkthrough only to find out that I was doing the right thing, but I wasn't clicking the exact right spot. I would love to see more games like this.
Another bug! Killed a boss, moved off-screen before the death animation finished, and the boss started range-attacking me again from off-screen. Moved to where I could attack the boss again, and my attacks passed right through it.
I found another bug: If you have an item in the Enchant window at the blacksmith, and then you push F or B to close the window (I also walked away and then came back), the item in the Enchant window is lost. It doesn't get put back in your inventory unless I were to actually drag it back.
I agree that I didn't enjoy the recycled pictures per level (because I wanted to do all of them, starting at the easiest and working my way up), but I will add that I really appreciate the Undo and Redo buttons.
Very nice! The graphics are polished, and if this were part of a longer game, this would be a good first level. I'm not a fan of spacebar-jumping, however. I would love the option to change controls. Maybe W for jumping and Q or E for climbing.
Is the game supposed to save from session to session? I've come back to this twice after a couple of days to find out that I have to start over each time. The "Resume" and checkpoint options imply (to me) that the game saves your progress beyond just the current session. I don't see where it's spelled out one way or the other.
For the easy badge, you don't have to make the ice cream to order. Just power through it, clicking as fast as you can doing the bare minimum, and put a cherry on the first ten you make.
When I mouse over the Twitter icon on the home screen, it turns into a Facebook icon. When I mouse over the Facebook icon, it turns into a Twitter icon.
You can select specific levels through the main menu ("continue", then left/right arrows to select which level to play)
