Suggested improvment...the hero comes with a wooden tower, but the tower can be upgraded during the fight. They also get talents which make the tower more powerful, including adding minions who build roadblocks, collect money, add minor ranged dps, etc.
Great idea with a lot of potential, but...can't build enough towers to have any real strategy. Can't change shot priority. Can't accurately predict range of hero + tower before placing. No incentive to save money. No story. No global upgrades. Huge swarms of enemies which are completely immune to half my dps when there's barely enough as it is.
This game cripples the player and makes them look bad. I wanted to like it, but I just don't...2/5.
When the Corvette was launched, it was a beautiful car, but it had a weak V6 and a 2-speed automatic transmission. Half-baked, and nowhere near as nice to drive as it was to look at. When they improved the engine and transmission, it became a classic. This game is like that.
5 is for "loved it", 4 is for "really liked it", and 3 is for "liked it". I liked it. I stand by my 3/5, and I look forward to rating the balanced and playtested sequel 5/5. This guy obviously has talent.
Some really cool stuff (funny characters, cute story, great art), but a lot of bizarre flaws (lack of info about gear and abilities, no WASD, no rogue ability to scout monster strengths and weaknesses, no mute button, where are the medals, what does the stuff in the skill tree do, etc, etc). If you did all this yourself, you got a great start, and I salute you...but get some help with playtesting next time. Why did you obviously work so hard on half of the game if you weren't going to polish it up? Fix some basic, inexplicable annoyances and make a 1.5 or a sequel. Could have been 5/5...as is, 3/5.

Overall good. I suggest not making the level up animation look like your ship is exploding. More weapon variety would also be nice, a la Bubble Tanks or Endless Zombie Rampage. Homing missiles which send bullets in a circle rather than a wave...a drone which automatically paralyzes close enemies every so often...random powerups...popup screens which describe the new enemy on the next level...different animations for critical and piercing...the ability to add fragments to any shot...the ability to buy wider spread...this could be a great game.
A lot of the weapons and perks are completely pointless. Unless you like wasting your xp, PLAY EXPERIMENT MODE FIRST. Also, if you have a slow computer or less-than-perfect vision, turn blood and stuff off before you start playing. If you start playing and make a bunch of corpses and blood, they will not disappear after you turn them off (at least they didn't for me).
