Just finished all 168 levels. Great puzzle game, some of the mechanics were quite novel too for this type of game, shame that some only have a handful of levels with them.
This game is surprisingly good in the sense that the art may seem amateurish, but the puzzles are fun, the physics are very consistent and you have a lot of room to work with: I'm sure there's other ways to beat each level other than the ones I used. Kudos to you dev and your underrated game!
This game is very similar to the pretty good Turnament and amazing Rust Bucket, both by Nitrome. Not to knock on this, I think it's rather original regardless; I liked the audiovisual presentation and the puzzles a lot!
Gotta say it's really fun to go for those Patience achievements; it makes the bosses, who are normally pushovers when you're upgraded, an actual challenge. Kudos for that!
...I was trying to do Patience 3, and that third boss just straight up broke. It moved from the top to the right, shot a few bullets, then turned down, turned to the left again and stood there. I pummeled it with my shots and it didn't move an inch or do anything. It changed phases and had his other versions appear but those too didn't move. It was easy to get the achievement obviously, but it seems like the boss is permanently borked; I even tried to not hit it at all, but it just stays there forever.
While level 14 is in fact rather eh, there's a neat thing you might have missed: when the mimic eats the Knight, it becomes a female ogre... seems like the Knight was a girl all this time :P
Note that you only get the "checking reactions on community server" when you try to make a WRONG combination. If you make a correct one it just does it, so you can just, well... Cheat and use a walkthrough :P Although it won't do you any good since you can't get the badge anyway as per my previous comments
The game as it can be accessed right now has 140 elements and 15 categories, which would correspond to the version right before Doodle God 2. So it seems like the game that's showing up right now here isn't DG 2 but essentially DG 1.5. Episode 3 can't be accessed and thus you cannot get 20 categories, meaning the badge is still unavailable (not that it seems to track how many categories you got anyway...)
Sorry, maybe I'm just dumb but can you actually get to Episode 3? I managed to get to 140 elements but that was it, I just got a screen telling me to wait for next episode.
Note how level 5 (events) is also the only section of the game that's unlockable via a microtransaction, and coincidentally the one after which the game "really begins"... That seems pretty low of the devs if you ask me.
@killy642: if you think that's aggravating, just try getting Dead Zone's badge, that takes way more than this to get (thanks to timers and other such bs) and it's also just a medium.
Anyway, I agree with knewred, this game is really basic compared to other, better, idle games both on this site and elsewhere, and especially compared to these devs' own Midas' Gold Plus. Nothing more than inoffensive luckily, but still disappointing.
Hey hey, I got a good one. Coming out of your Shell? More like Coming out of your hell, because that's what you'll do right after getting this badge! Ha!
Not only do I have to play this again, but the game is also noticeably laggier and slower than when I first played it for the badges... Geez, give me a break.
Thanks!
