Also, I feel this series is massively overhated for how good it actually is; every game might feel a little samey (in itself and compared to the other games) but they're always professionally made, they usually get nice improvements with each installment and have a fundamentally fun core gameplay, imo at least. Not my favorite games by these devs (those are Cactus McCoy 1 and 2, definitely) but still totally undeserving of so much strife and hate everytime they get BotD or something. And I know a few games I've played with better scores this series usually gets that would deserve scorn more, I mean...
There actually is a game here. It's just a game with 1x1 (1p) graphics, no music, and no particular goals except to find your favorite color among those presented. But it's as much of a game as a cardboard box!
I found the spacebar mash minigames to be pretty easy tbh, not sure what issue everyone else is having.
A tip I could give is to try to tap with two or more fingers at the same time, doing it with just one repeatedly is inefficient and probably hurts your finger after some time.
Well, that's weird. I read all the comments about how the game's rhythm is off by a significant margin and how it can lag in some places... So I was wary trying it out, expecting the worst. And yet, I've thus far played up to the first song and everything worked out perfectly, and I managed to get an A (almost an S) on the first song too, first try and all. What am I doing differently from everyone else?? Not that I'm complaining... The game without the issues aforementioned is pretty neat and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. If anyone's interested, I tried it on Chrome initially and it was a bit broken there, it works in Firefox perfectly for me though.
Has anyone noticed the 10th daughter seems to be very similar to the A10 (sponsor)'s mascot displayed in the intro of the game? Maybe it's an homage to them!
And, besides all that, the game is also buggy and can destroy your run by putting you in a softlock out of nowhere. Oh yeah and the badges don't work. Why is this rated 3.7 out of 5 again? 2/2
So, let me get this straight. In every mode a ton of enemy spawn. A lot of them take way more punishment than they should and they hurt you a lot very fast (a zombie can kill you in five hits). You have very limited ammo and the only way to get more is to kill the enemies and hope they drop ammo, and even that only for some weapons, as others are too underpowered to make any dent. The aforementioned drops also disappear after a while so if you don't get them fast you're gonna run out of ammo very fast. But since there are so many enemies spawned trying to get them usually means you're losing a lot of health if not outright dying. The beans are not only erratic but they seem to hit you constantly if they're not stopped, draining your life in about 2 seconds, and each size does the same damage, meaning the very small ones can just jump at you and end you in a flash. 1/2
After an endless amount of time dreading the thought of this game, I finally managed to get 4th, 5th and 111 seconds in just a few tries. My tip is: zoom the hell in in your browser of choice; as it is right now, the low resolution mixed with the granular precision the game requires is a recipe for disaster. If the screen is zoomed in you can move your cursor much better, and mixed with an healthy use of the right click teleport technique, it should help massively. Shooting is rather useless so don't even try.
I think the game might straight up base the spawn of every element on frame rate, meaning that when the game goes at a fluid framerate it spawns way too many things. Not to mention it has a memory leak of some sorts, since after a while it starts to chug somewhat... which is actually positive since when it lags it actually starts to spawn a reasonable amount of entities (no more 4 death dice at once!), except after a while it chugs so much it's too painful to be enjoyable. Which basically means you can't play the game when you've just loaded it, and you can't play after a few minutes of gameplay. So to reasonably have a shot at the hard badge you need to hit that sweet spot and hope to get it in that run, otherwise you need to wait and play a few hopeless runs before you can try again. That's a little unfair...
Useful tip: when the song loops the first time you're approximately at 200 spikes dodged. When it loops the second time you should be at 400 or slightly less than that.
The badges for this game don't work. Luckily you can just request a missing achievement! But unluckily the game doesn't have a stats screen of any kind so you can't prove in screenshots that you've got 100 kills OR 3 team victories. So this is a rare case of a game in here that still works normally but badges are basically interdicted.
One of the most underrated (the actual sense of the word, and not just "underseen") games on the site imo. While the platforming physics aren't the best I've ever seen they're certainly not the worst and everything else is pretty solid. It should have at least 3.5+ rather than the lowly 3 it's got right now, especially considering there's many games rated the same or even higher that are MUCH worse.
I tried multiple times in the past and it never loaded for me, but apparently in these few months they managed to fix it, since it loads perfectly now in both IE and Chrome! Good work
This guy gets it!
