I was able to stay around bottom right corner to dodge the pattern where the final boss fires a short pattern of crisscrossing short white beams and then a wave of pale shots. I would sit at the very bottom corner, then move up slightly to avoid one of the white beams, and avoided all damage on some waves this way.
Specifically, it needs autosummoning as an option, and for some upgrades to be immediate on level start. It's especially silly that the first part of every level is building the mana pool and tower back up.
Must... destroy... x10. Too many popups that interrupt everything, the HUD is busy and confusing, the reload bar is annoying, and the controls in general are very tweaky. It's a shame; it seems like buried under all that is a fun game struggling to come out.
The best way to get most of the in-game Trophies, but especially the CHAIN trophies, is to move as little as possible. Chain kills reset whenever you are hit, and at higher levels, getting hit is pretty much inevitable. By staying as still as possible, you collect few pixels and level very slowly, allowing you to grind through all thousand hits on green and purple enemies. Attack speed and spread upgrades help it go a little faster. This is also a good way to drive up your score and to lure in more kings for other achievements. Rate this up if it helps you!
Oh, and the ability to buy building materials. If you don't play a very strong combat character, it's impossible to really develop the town... the rewards from Builder are too little too late. (You have to wait two years and you only get a tiny amount each week. Completing a dungeon, which can be done in two weeks plus three downtime, is worth many hundreds of materials -- you'd be lucky to get sixty from building that whole time.)
It'd be really nice if there was a 'remort' feature, where you could send some item/s to your next life. Or in-game achievements that granted you particular starting items.
