FYI in achievements the "gold earned" and "diamonds earned" are both titled levels cleared (might just be an oops). Killing 1k goblins is the slowest thing I've ever done, basically sitting back and letting the mages kill them. But I want that bow!
I have some suggestions if you're still planning on continuing the game: achievements (possible with apples per second rewards), more things to buy, statistics (what's my apples per second currently, how much does each item get me)... An apple minigame...
Suggestion: Upgrade multiplier should not reset to x1 every time you close the upgrade menu(s). For example, if I click to x10 to see the price, close out to click the tree, and then open it again, it should remain at x10 instead of resetting to x1.
Also: Perhaps upgrades open along the side so you can leave it open and click the tree. :)
Looks promising so far. If you're looking for recommendations or advice: achievements system (perhaps BPS (bananas per second) idle reward for each unlocked achievement).
Also, how about little 'easter eggs'? A random 'special' banana pops up on the screen and gives more than the normal amount of bananas. Just for fun, of course, and to give something more to do than click the banana.
Good luck with your game, and hopefully you'll ignore the unhelpful hate comments that leave no advice!
i will probably be adding in achievements in the next upgrades as well as better performance (making it calculate less often resulting in better framerate) and also most likely the easter eggs that have been the most suggested thing at the moment
I really wish I could play these games... half the time I get that 'you can't play on this browser it has to be IE or Safari' message even though I can load and play other Unity games on chrome.. what gives?
This game is enjoyable but has several very irritating flaws: lag. Oh, so much lag. I don't know if I'm alone there, but after playing for maybe 30 minutes the lag was so severe that the battle maps kept freezing constantly. Second, the way you 'move' the map. Instead of hovering (which is a pain in the ass since you move without wanting to), just let it move by arrow keys... and for the love of god, make the map big enough that you can click a tower location without the fast forward button, or the scroll arrow, getting in the way.
I like this game. Hopefully you can get it smoother and get more details involved to make it grow. I'm not worried about graphics as I do enjoy minimalism. I don't have any lag at all when adding troops, however the chat thing is always behind (and I don't need the same 4 line message 3 times in a row). Simply, an option to disable the tutorial messages/help tools would be great, as they drown out the status messages. Thanks, and hope you continue to work on this game! :)
True, I forgot to make it possible to turn the tutorial off. I´ll fix that.
In the long run I have to redo the whole game and make it way simpler in order to make it enjoyable. It´s more or less a test project to figure out what I can do and not in Web-GL.
Right now the battle system is over kill for the game since the player has no way to see what happens behind the stage.
And that´s what slows the game down since all the soldiers are actual own entities in the game.
I love the detail in the new update! I have one concern: some buildings are showing the exclamation point of (affordable upgrade) when there isn't an affordable upgrade available.
Namely, the adventurer's guild needs 3mil for the lowest upgrade but every time I get over 500k I get the exclamation point.
Will be added in next update. Thank for comment.
