My problem is, the "interesting" stage of the game is too short. Woops, you're a poor lame ass being pwned by anyone, and you're happy with a single loot item or gold point... about 4-5 hours later, you'd sell it by the bulk just to save the clicking, and the archwizard of your lv-infinity hero one-shots a "Strong Against Your Kind Of Damage" creeps. So fine, you hire a Gentleman hero (or just implant their "loot chance" units on another martial one you've got) and grind... but that's it. That's all it is. Right now, I've got 4 Protectomons and 11 skills to go (of skills, only 2 are those mysterious "given by unsold scroll" ones. The moment I use Relearn scroll on myself, I'll have everything else - have X of this and Y of that - covered.)
However, speaking of GemCraft was for another dang reason too. This game, for all it's marvel, is too fast and too easy. Finished the storyline in about 5 hours of gaming time, and half of that was spent n00bing around. Now, with the final storyline quest being the supposed pinnacle of difficility (It's not, Forgotten Cavern is far more unconvinient), I've got nothing to do but to grind it with 2 (yep, the whole level!) for Protectomon collection... and that's truly boring. Why not have a "Stage Two" game part, that I can arrive at after completing the storyline?
-- For Jesus's sake, there is a skill requirement "total of 40 points", I am 2 points short of it (with 10's "Bonus Exp" skill on me, eh!), and I already can single-shot everything in the game from 2 of my "main" heroes, and almost - from any n00b hero I hire.
It's an amazing game, hands down, just brilliant, 5/5 no questions asked. I can only imagine of GemCraft as a worthy rival in terms of only not a "raw fun" (which 15-kb Tetris is) but also the "candy effect" into all of it, with wonderful graphics to enjoy and tiny gameplay details to explore not just in the world of TDs but "fast-fun" flash games as a whole. -> Next

The fastest way to deselect your troops is to click on "units" or "spells" tabs. Took me some griefing to figure that one out - a hotkey would have been appropriate.
I really like Event Horizon, that nice sci-horror of early 2000's. The plot? An experimental FTL "teleporter" ship teleports to another dimension... that turns out to be hell. And then it comes back... So dare I say, this story is a little familliar. - On a gameplay side, the game is nicely drawn, but it seem to not decide whether it's a survival horror (barely, considering how easily creeps go down and how tough is the hero) or a pretty straight platformer (again barely, cuz there simply aren't enough dudes to shoot at). Besides, there isn't enough variety in your arsenal: one gun, one mode of fire (and that you cannot shoot up is a real bugger, considering about a third of enemies fly!) Overall, a 4/5. I'd suggest authors to make the abovementioned choice more clearly next time. P.S. And I wouldn't want to sound too puritan, but the amounts of vaginal theme almost made me vomit. Honestly, there are better sorts of "disturbing" even when you want it.
Catastrophe. It's hard to make the sequel worse then the original by removing what was good, but you managed it. - Resource inaging is MUCH worse then it was, on original Castle Wars it was naturally obvious how much resource and production speed you have, now it takes ages and a pain to figure. - OK, good to have the old Crucifix business removed, however, there's nothing added to compensate for it. Now the "midrange" deck is pretty much the only one possible. Some balance.
There is a stupidly simple way to Brilliant a lv14 ninja boss. First, you unload 5 Meteors on him, emptying your mana pool. Then... then you build enough Temples with "20 mana when you build a Temple" skill to get mana back, and use that fresh mana to meteor his rearside down! Just be sure to clear you some Rock space in advance so you can spam temples easily.

Well guys, I can state that the game is not vuggy and very solvable without walkthrough. Sometimes it takes effort and little finesse (on several levels you got to run around holding something right in your hand), but it is possible. Best of luck! And, huh, guess I'lll mark it 5/5 if it kept me on till last level.
What I find lame is running around with unplaced-yet-real piece of scenery to make smooth ride for the ball. I mean, it is fun, but hey, it isnt supposed to be a real-time clickfest, eh?
As for the last level, I've killed 4 demons with my own hands (using refresh in the process obviously), and every one of that "lesser demons" goes down manually. So it is absolutely possible to do last level without buying InstaKills (5 ones that come with level on maxed attack, plus normal fight capabilities are enough). Surely not easy, but possible.
In my opinion, Sight is particularry weak. Probably it should give short-range teleport items instead of that useless eyes.
and do not bother moving the city - these 4 miners you build just to get to the ridge will do the trick just fine. It's about the same time as city flyby, only those actually help your income.
In the last level, rush uphill and get 2 mortars quite on the sides shooting into the trench ASAP - that is, without trying to fill the hole with basic miners first. Then get 2 anti-air guns on the same upper level closer to the middle. Miners you build on the upper level to spread to sides will get the trick done. This way you won't be spilled with stuff in first few minutes. Building up your economy and winning will then be just a matter of time.
