Ah, further playing revealed a problem with the code. I'm guessing each puzzle is randomly generated, but the problem arises when there are two valid solutions. Since the game seems to work backward from one solution, it only marks that one correctly. I'm not sure what could be done with that, but it is a major sticking point for puzzle fans.
Needs a bit more work: sound effects, some sort of "reward" screen perhaps, and a bit cleaner interface, e.g., the arrows that extend are an odd choice to represent the connections.
Fantastic game. Quite innovative. The sound needs work, however. Some sort of impact sound for collisions might be helpful, and the soundtrack feels out of place.
The extra level of complication completely ruins the game. Part of the fun of zuma is creating huge chains and removing large amounts at the same time. Both are nearly impossible in this game.
Certainly not a buried "treasure." Hit detection is off, the pacing is incredibly slow, and there's no clear indicator if/when you get large enough to eat larger dogs. Needs serious work.
A pretty good game, overall. Jumping feels a bit loose, and, though I'm all for the paper mario style play, not being able to actually move in 3d was occasionally jarring. Still, it's an enjoyable little time-waster.
Excellent game! Innovative, clever, and incredibly fun. Has that "minute to learn, lifetime to master" quality. Would be even better if it was somehow endlessly updated, perhaps with some sort of randomized-stage feature or multiplayer capabilities.
