There's honestly a number of issues with this game that seem to indicate it wasn't ever playtested.
Its hard to see the bullets when the multicolored experience bubbles are moving in the same manner.
Dialog skip is the same as the fire key.
The initial gun is very difficult to destroy the smaller ships with. Its a fine line to walk if you're offering upgrades, but the player can't even kill a row of three fighters without getting run into.
I really like the concept, but it kind of defeats the purpose of finding a solution if there's often an invisible wall between two panels that line up.
If the panels line up, they should let the character through, otherwise it's just trial and error.
It's just kind of... generic. Which I guess is the point? With powerhouse roguelikes out there like Nethack, ADOM, and Stone Soup, you have to really bring it to measure up. It's definitely a start, but you really need more to be memorable.
Sorry, but the story is about as cliche as they come, and most of the puzzles are ripped from other, more original games.
The author needs to play a few good Interactive Fiction games to get some inspiration.
Not sure what slowness everyone is talking about. Maybe problems in IE? Game works great in Firefox, and is possibly one of the best Flash games I've played.
If you're having problems with the game, try it in Firefox.
Ranged weapons don't really have a minimum distance in combat. Certain weapons miss the mark half the time, while others hit every single time. There is no strategy if you have to guess what a weapon is really going to be able to do.
