I really like the game so far, I like the difficulty and I like how I am rewarded for positioning my units (speeding up tax collectors, maneuvering my units closer to certain enemies). There are a few ideas for improvement though: hotkeys. I find myself using heal very often and it would redude the strain on my arm if there was a shortcut. Heal priority: when I use my heal on a group of units, I'd like it to heal the lowest unit first, right now it seems random. And lastly combat focus, if I place a unit near a building I want it to attack that building or that building's spawns. As it is now they will sometimes move away randomly to attack stray monsters. That's all I had for now, will keep playing and see if more pops up.
I liked the game, it seriously needs a quality option though. I also think you should add more levels or up the difficulty, I completed the last episode when I was barely half of max level, meaning most of the upgrades were completely pointless.
This is one of the most well-made games I have ever played here on Kongregate. The visuals, the music, the controls - everything felt just right. Add to that creative level design good difficulty balance and you have a perfect game.
A kind of big bug: sometimes when you use the reveal skill, the tiles stay revealed and you cannot click on any of them, you're stuck waiting for the timer to go down (or killing yourself if there are black cards).
It has already been said but it was a huge disappointment to be promised something for filling up the warp core, finally beat the last boss and do so and then get NOTHING, just being pointed towards boss rush with no additional upgrades. I have "supposedly" beaten the game and I don't get anything for it, not even a good job. I feel no motivation to even bother trying boss rush which I'd consider impossible unless you lag a lot and get free focus. It was a really good game but left you with a sour taste in your mouth.
It was really fun up to the point when you completed the story mode. Afterwards the grind becomes too harsh: getting 10-20k gold each run and needing 300-500k for various upgrades... The replay value is not that strong and there is nothing that motivates me to get those upgrades. (Maybe I'm missing some way to earn gold faster though)
Can't say I like it. Feels like there's too much guessing and too little logical thinking and I dislike that you have to mark all the blanks to get the green triangle. It's good for what it is though.
The music is absolutely excellent - really brings out the atmosphere in the game. I also don't mind having to learn the game on my own, it's actually even more pleasing. I think a tutorial would kind of kill the game; I feel like the purpose is for it to be a bit confusing, thrown into a puzzling and ethereal world with only your curiosity and desire to explore to guide you. Overall a fantastic game, 5/5 and favorited.
I was thinking about Metroid the entire time and I was going to finish the game (collect all the metal plates) before commenting on it, to see what the message said. Nothing more needs to be said. ^^ 5/5
The game is freaking awesome but my medals are constantly bugging out. I'd complete a level, earn gold, complete next, then suddenly the first one is now a bronze instead (and if I watch the replay it's from a very, very old attempt, not the one I just earned gold with). It really ruins everything since I'm not able to continue.
I fail to see how this game is either relaxing or easy (judging by comments). It doesn't take long until the other squares reach freakish speed and it's practically impossible to survive due to the fact that you can't actually see your own square... but I guess it was entertaining for a few minutes.
The AI is actually kind of fun, though frustrating. Red/blue love to gang up on me, but while they do, yellow sneaks up on them from behind and takes over. :3
Simple, just select the required hole from the info/score screen :)
