My opinion : Character moves too slowly. Bashing X without moving at all to prevent enemy attacks until you kill him is not really interesting. Maybe add more enemy at once, with much less life, so you would have to actually move around not to be surrounded and avoiding attacks. Wish you good luck to continue your game, it has potential.
Couples of suggestions :
// ONE. Improve collisions detection (it seems that only missiles head is detected)
// TWO. Add a little animation / particle effect when you stop a missile, it would be more rewarding.
// THREE. A nice yet simple idea to create a more original gameplay : give your ship the ability to fire, but limited by a cooldown (maybe 4-5s). So when 2 missiles or more arrive at the same time, you could shoot at least one, and try stopping others with your body.
Nice game. Two suggestions : 1.Make the game over shorter, that's pointless to make players wait several seconds before retry. 2. That's too bad that difficulty mainly comes from the close zoom which make me unable to anticipate obstacles.
I loved the game, yet, there is not so much strategy. ONE : spawn all the unit you can on one point to make a huge pack of them. TWO : throw bombs in that order : Ice, Normal, Fire, and then Push where the enemies are blocking your pack of units. THREE : Win. Finished the game, got only one defeat. But anyway, really nice game.
Everything is there and well implemented. Even with all those upgrades I feel like I can rock using just my own skill, it's a rare sensation those days. I just don't like the music, but that's subjective. 5/5
I noticed a little mistake in the game design : the fact that leveling up gives you full life, encourage me to NOT level up as much as I can, avoiding all monster. Then once I'm close to the end of the level, when things start to be very hard, I keep running into all monster, so I keep leveling up and my life just regenerate itself :)
I have few quick freeze, really annoying. The game seemed great but that's a pity that driving is basically hold UP key. No need of right or left. Plus, the fuel dump are not dropped where you are but directly on the ground, no matter how high you are.
Addictive, fun and nice. But there are some nasty flaws :
- Spike hitboxes => when you land just after a wall of spikes, you die, very frustrating.
- It's often laggy.
- In world 2, there is a invisible spike which kill you (it's on a low platform). There is no spike visible.
- A bit faster, the game would been more dynamic, for now World 1 is just soporific.
I love this game but the problem is : once you've memorized the very few number of game sequences, it become very very repetitive. Too bad there is no new sequences when you survive long enough.
Thanks for your game and for the efforts you produce to improve it. By the way, do you think you could reduce the hitbox of the ship ? The fact that I have no chance to avoid bullet kills the gameplay a bit.
