no fast forward, no multi select in design screen, wasd doesn't work to scroll... just lacking really basic UI elements to make the game actually enjoyable.
"maybe one day I'll think of something to do with all the souls my game lets you earn" like take them all away after the game finally gets badges? I saw upgrades cost souls and I thought 'finally I can use the thousands of souls I accumulated in past versions!" Nope.
This game is pretty good, I've been playing for a while now. The card collecting system actually has more depth than it first seems, between summoning shards and fusions etc, you can work pretty hard to improve your collection and your deck. The one thing that really bugs me though is the auction house takes tokens whether a sale is completed or not, which really reduces the ability to speculatively use the feature. I strongly feel that auction tokens should be returned to an unsuccessful bidder/seller; if that crashes the internal token economy then the balance could/should be made up in other ways. Now regarding the Auction House, we are truly sorry you don't like the way it works now, we are a very small team and it's actually one of our (not so many) ways of surviving. We can't really set the AH 100% free, otherwise it would prevent us from working further on the game since we really do need to monetize at some points in the game, I'm hoping you understand our point.

Counterpoint: I just hit level 700, never paid for anything. There are still a few things I want to tackle. This game is great, especially if you've played Gemcrafts before. Lots to do.
I know for a fact I got these badges some years ago. But not only do I not have the BotD, I don't have the original badges any more. This happened the other day with Gemcraft, too. (I know this isn't relevant to this game, necessarily, but where else am I supposed to complain?)
Make the temple offer to get the achievement. You only have to purchase 30 researches (note: Diamond researches ALSO count), not have 30 research upgrades active in any one "run".
Wow, this is a really terrific game. Incredibly deep. There is so much strategy in so few cards, and SO MANY game modes!
Let's all post some of our favorite combos.
- Using Moonflux Arena mode to rush to Astral Guard is working for me right now.
- Titans Arena is fun (although it eventually gets pretty slow) and I liked using Spectral Elemental (I think that's what it's called) with Phoenix, lots of Meditation to build up Fire and Earth.
- Warrior Priest is fun with Vanguard mode.
- I started my campaign with Illusionist after I had Illusion Wall played against me in a duel and thought it was OP, but I hit a wall at the Vampire Lord. Anybody have any suggestions?
You know it's amazing, I was JUST thinking that what Kongregate needed was another launch game that's functionally identical to the other few hundred on here. Good show!
