Took three re-starts but I won in the minimum: 30 W, 4 D, 6 L. 10-0 in England, my star scored 25 (2nd place: 15). $71487, Fan Club 1185. Most important thing to focus on is careful management of skill pts in order to maximize add-ons and bonuses in England: By the end my players were 4/5/5, 5/4/5, 5/5/4. Tips: Asymmetrical initial skill distribution. Save $750 for 2 matches in and say yes to that. Don't buy the mystery player. Always trade $ for FC - although by the time you get that option, $ is irrelevant anyway. I haven't studied it in detail but the higher-level Manager skills are wasteful. Match tactics are still a mystery to me tho anecdotally using "Attack" even when I already have a big Stamina advantage over the other team seemed to result in a loss quite frequently - I used Defense 80% of the time and Neutral occasionally when I was at a Stamina disadvantage. + this comment to help other players win!
If you can't summon the favor, click out of menu and click out of whatever you're in. I had a few seconds of confusion when trying to call the Kitty Captain favor and I couldn't because there was still a dialogue on the main screen. @elejames, you're just not doing it in the right order. Call the favor then get the bear.
May 14 is pretty good. It's possible to land on the long outcropping in the middle of the board and make a go from there, but everything has to be just right. Building out from the small platform in the north got me about 13 minutes.
framework is here but the game isn't. how many shields do I need to farm before I won't instantly die in the fight mode? what the hell is a bomb and how would I use it? interesting concept but clearly not playtested... 2.5/5
April 3 was a really good one. Personally I try to beat every day's map in 15 minutes or less - 7 minutes seems crazy short! April 3 I failed quickly twice and then won in a bit under 30 minutes, it was a nicely hard one.
"You need to win one race (any track) in Haddock Mode to get the hard Badge. + to keep others informed" This is 100% incorrect. I haven't looked at Haddock Mode at all. You may need to finish a race after unlocking Haddock Mode, but it doesn't have to be done IN Haddock Mode at all.
Anyway - I'm not usually the biggest fan of CycloManiacs games but this one is terrific. Great balance, good escalation of difficulty, fun challenges. The only minus for me is some of the 'stunt' events that get away from racing seem stupid-hard and/or just kind of stupid. Sparta, I'm looking at you. 5/5
Nerf update is lame. Hard badges should be hard. I managed to do all the missions after several tries at the last couple hard ones. Finishing last SHOULD mean mission fail.
Quite a decent game let down by an awful ending from a balance perspective. Breezed through every level, can't beat boss. Grinded every hero to level 12+, can't beat boss. Tried every group combination, can't beat boss.
Hit box for final boss attacks are VERY MISLEADING. I tried 'maybe I'll stand behind it' strategy - if you do this most of your heroes will inexplicably die about half the time. Boulders drop potions inside the castle where you can't reach them.
It's like the developer just hit a deadline and couldn't put in one more week to balancing & testing the final encounter and just said 'screw it, ship the game.'
