@MagnusN53, try the following:
- Use a ranger, invest in stealth and ranged.
- Get sprint, power shot, tunnel shot and range mastery
- Use the terrain to your advantage, and wait for your talents to recharge before starting or continuing a fight (going up the stairs, wait, return, rinse, repeat)
Nah you're not missing anything, for these prototypes I'm mostly focusing on gameplay and art. Certainly when a full version rolls around I'll get that in!
Nice concept. I liked the lines mechanics. Needs some music and SFX (although many people will mute) and maybe a little more definition of what each upgrade does. E.g. I didn't know what would happen if I had more fishermen the first time I got them.
Another tip I just thought of: Don't kill enemy "spawners" (like rat nests, kennels, etc.), get more experience by killing all enemies spawned. The "spawner" will destroy itself (and give you even more experience) after some 5 spawns.
Finally! Used a Ranger, with:
Talents: 3/3 Evasive, 3/3 Ranged Mastery, Sprint, 3/3 Power shot.
Skills: Stealth 15, Ranged 5.
Relevant inventory: Short bow +4, Confusion charm +4, Helm of Telepathy.
Hints:
- Confusion charm on clusters of enemies (let them go at each other).
- Keep high-level missiles like javelins or chakrams and do a power-shot on towers, ballistas, etc (you can get close enough with the Stealth skill).
- Use Sprint to keep the enemy at distance and try to maneuver them to unstable terrain.
- Use stairs to take one enemy at a time and cool down Power Shot.
- Buy all the meat you can.
I liked the game a lot! I would love to see some descriptions on what each spell does (if there is a way, I didn't see it). There's really not much grinding, since most battles can be won on the first attempt. Well done!
Get the rocket launcher and the full regeneration. When starting survival mode, make sure you select the infinite jumps, double damage and the big magnet (if you want to collect whatever the enemies drop). Jump out of the screen and stay there until reaching 20K. Armor helps too.
Downgrading from 4 to 2 stars after getting -1 chili bombs and losing the "step back" purchase. I was refusing to believe this was a crappy game, but sadly, it is...
Pros:
- Badges
- Nice addictive items process
- Ads are not THAT intrusive
Cons:
- Made to push you to buy
- Not really idle, more like "I'll make you wait a lot" with no rewards for waiting (gold, power or whatever)
- You'll suffer if you don't buy
- Completely silent, no visual or auditive rewards. Seems like a waste after investing on the visual art (unless I missed how to turn on sound?).
Has the potential, but fails to deliver in the end, in a mix between imbalance and the devs being mercenaries wanting more money than their product deserves: 2/5 stars
It's been a while since I've enjoyed a game like I enjoyed this one in Kong. Beginning to end (not that long but several hours worth) could not drop it.
I agree with the sky being too bright. Can't see the whole ground portion comfortably. Also, can't do a full turn with mouse, you need to capture it because I need to go around the screen to keep moving the view farther.
Thank you! I'm looking for info on the locations, really appreciated it.
