Late reply, sorry. There is a logic, but we kind of put TOO MUCH things to think about. First you need to figure how to move the locks, then you need to figure the combo, then you need to figure where to enter it...
Anyway, the sequence can be seen somewhere in the room, and the tumblers need to be aligned with the direction of the lock.
When we do the "remake" for PC (better dialogue, better drawings, more story, more puzzles, longer) we'll make this puzzle and the maze a little clearer.
Great humour but not too fond of the battle controls. Tech abilities are kinda weak and harder to execute perfectly, I just use standard attacks instead.
Needs a quick save feature and achievements. Also I don't like the idea that you can lose a captain by either firing him or getting him busted. BTW you aren't losing any drugs when no dealer is directly assigned to them, it's your other dealers cross-selling them.
If you lost a captain it's a bug. You shouldn't be able to lose them completely. You can fire them and re-hire them as much as you want. If they get busted you will still have to bail them out, or fire them and wait till the next reset.
I guess Kong was well aware about how painfully hard the bonus level "Killing Floor" is, since you only need to beat 6 out of 7 bonus levels to get the Hard badge.
Some tips to beat all levels: 1) When you are in the air, get your foot off the gas pedal immediately. You will only waste fuel that way (nitro still works in mid-air). 2) If you manage to beat a level without having maxed out the car (a 100% gun isn't necessary in most levels), leave it that way and start upgrading the next car. 3) Crates, mines, buses and road barriers can't be destroyed by gunfire, save your ammo for barrel zombies, rolling barrels, barrel piles and snowmen. All mines are supposed to be jumped over. 4) Save your nitro for chasms, steep hills, after being slowed down a lot by a queue of zombies and ski-jumps (usually followed by mines).
Can't even beat Level 1 with fully upgraded car. Concerns: Crates, barriers and the bus cannot be destroyed by gunfire, they WILL slow you down and cannot be avoided.
Made it through the cave just fine but some of the submarine puzzles are really tough. Hint for the anglerfish: Press enter after each letter, don't attempt to write the whole word in one go.
It's the animations that is causing all the lag. Flying coins, flying monsters, barking dogs. Let us switch off the coins and maybe the dog animations.
