I would be totally thrilled if a pinch to zoom feature could be added to this. That is literally all this game needs to function perfectly on mobile. This is such a great series of games.
This game is incredible in that it requires some of the most precise timing ever seen in a game, and yet it isn't fast paced. It gives you time to think about it and get it right. It would be darn near impossible otherwise. The wall jump is very buggy and a source of major frustration, though, sometimes kicking in and making my character jump the entirely wrong way when near a ledge, as in, a dropoff, not a wall. This bug really takes a lot out of it for me.
The battle scenes and your character control in them are pretty much useless. I spent most of the game time dragging items to be sold, and clicking one space over and dragging another soldier into my reserve troops slots. That pretty much equals a very unenjoyable time. This game comes across more as someone's just-for-fun attempt at making a game rather than an actual attempt at making a good game.
Congratulations on making a game that takes as long to complete and master as any other game for sale these days... except... it's not for sale.
The depth and layers of the upgrading system took me most of the game to get my head around, but that's a good thing. Some things could be better here and there, yes, but EXCELLENT work regardless.
I agree about the navigation through the menus, but the main thing that bugged me is that if you turn off the music, it comes back on every time you go to the menu, start a game, or go to the upgrade screen. It's pretty frustrating if you're listening to music or talking to someone while playing.
This game is really pretty fun, but it has one flaw which literally half-ruins it. If you, like I did, play the challenges on the left side first, then you've already upgraded your ship to the point of starting on the challenges being way too easy. After I finished the challenges on the left, every single challenge on the right was far too easy. It felt kind of like mowing the lawn, as it was about that challenging.
Make the level unlocking system go across the board, and you'll have a game of the same length that actually keeps the player challenged throughout. Of course, someone can play it that way if they want, for sure. But if they do what I did, half (in my case, the larger "half") of the game is ruined. I literally just got up and got a drink or cleaned my room during the most of the survival levels on the "enemy challenges" portion of the game.
I really don't like that play more button in the most prominent position. End up clicking it all the time. That's trading off likability for marketing yourself, which is low.
Doesn't the name sound like a game show? It could be a game show, where people play for the real amount of money in the game - one chance. No-one would ever win anything.
This is true irony. It's a game made by professional game designers that shines as utter garbage compared to the others on this site, AND it's supposed to make you want to buy another game they made. Great going Ubisoft!
Such a disappointment from my favorite game maker on Kongregate. The gameplay was kind of sad, and once I'd taken off the second boss' guns, I just sat around and shot him for about 10 minutes until it slowly started to dawn on me that maybe this game was designed as a test to see just how long people try to pummel that thing before they get bored and realize they're wasting their lives.
Only problem I noticed aside from the autopilot feature was that once you've bought too many units, you can't buy any more, and resultantly can't buy the last most powerful ones... unless I'm just missing something
