Great game series. I bought it on steam and played through it all, now my husband and I are recording him going through it blind. He doesn't tend to like adventure games at all, but he's enjoying this so far! (On episode 4)
The flash after you solve a puzzle is really obnoxious and jarring. You have a sound already, and for people that can't hear it, how about just a fade in the background? Or an icon change? something that doesn't feel like it's assaulting your eyes and brain.
Tried to go into the mayor's office after talking to the secretary, it did a black screen for a bit, then booted me to the map. When I clicked on the mayor's office to go in again, it's another black screen, and now nothing is happening.
I choose to believe that the Papa's games are all set in hell, and all the customers are demons to torment your character. It's how they can order the same thing EVERY SINGLE DAY and not want to switch their order. And how they have psychic powers of what you spilled behind the counter. And why an employee has to pay for all the furnishings.
When I clicked on the staff doors again after getting the clue, it gave me the clue as a 'new clue' again, even though I connected it with another clue (so it's not connected now). I also can't seem to find the clue to connect with the Rasp clue. It keeps telling me to talk to the employees, but I'm not getting any new info.
The first problem you encountered is a bug - I'll fix it right now, but it's a minor one and shouldn't stop you from completing the game. As for the other clue you're missing, talk to Rasp inside his room, or to the receptionist. Considering the hint you're getting, it should be one of the two
The bird and the title don't have anything to do with the game at all. I was expecting a music puzzle game. This should be called "Random person yells stuff at a bird"
Having it so the spacebar reset the level and R was to Return to menu would make retrying levels a lot faster, since you could just go space/space for restart/start.
Energy system, heroes bought with different styles of coins, movement on a path with set enemies, buildings that unlock stuff, but not really much... and pay to not wait? Yeah, seen this before. And done by so many other companies. If this is a new game by Kong, they should have a long, LONG, stern talk with the developers of this game. And probably smack them with a clue-stick.
I usually don't care for infinite running games, but this one was easy enough, and I really enjoyed the cute premise behind it. The music fits really well too.
Not a bad concept, but no mute button is annoying, and stopping after a while kind of removes the point of an idle game. It's decent for a start, but not something I'd really recommend playing. I'll keep an eye out for a V2, though.
Okay, so the protagonist has seen someone who has hung himself, someone else light themselves on fire, someone else obviously have mental issues, and himself buried alive, and hallucinating the entire way, and still goes through with it all because he "must know the truth!". And this is why philosophy majors get made fun of.
First off, Kong REALLY needs to make games that use which kongpanions you have, rather then just making a game that features them in it. There's no point in going for the shiny ones, or really ANY of them, because all you're playing in this (and any of the other kongpanion games I've tried) is the set one the designer decided on. Let us choose which one we use, and have them give different benefits or something; otherwise, it's still just a waste of time getting them.
Also, I have a high end system; I can play things like Dark Souls 2 on the highest graphical settings just fine; the upgrade menu in this game chugs. It also looks horrible, but I've always hated skill trees like that as well, so chalk it up to a personal preference on the layout.
Other then that, it's a very, very generic launch game. Nothing stands out, nothing makes me want to keep playing. If this is what Kong is going to use to show off their kongpanions from now on, I'm not going to bother getting any more.
Interesting concept, much too slow, even on my high end PC. Can't see a way to change the location, which would make things more interesting, and no 'earth wide' simulation.
I understand DDR; even if you don't do well, you are at least getting a workout. I understand things like Guitar Hero; at least you're playing a game with friends. With sitting on your butt pressing keys by yourself, I don't understand the point of this game. I'd say it would be to enjoy the songs, but I really don't.
Noted! thanks for the feedback!
