Decent game, but quite a few flaws: 1) Game seems to be going MUCH too fast, it's very hard to go from your farm and back to your pet without getting bugs or whatnot, 2) Pet seems to get sick MUCH too often, I would often have to spend all of my money just to get it healed every 5 minutes 3) No mention of what raises loyalty (apparently putting accesories on helps) 4) Besides fullness factor and money, no real point in raising different crops. Some sort of color change, or evolution change would be helpful. 5) No way to track what path your pet is going on, I'd much prefer to at least get a hint of how I got the evolution I did, so I can try something else.
Deciding to keep bugs because 'it takes too long' or 'it's better that way' smacks of just making excuses. Bugs are bugs and should be fixed. I really enjoyed the first one, but just reading the developer comment makes me not want to play this one, or any other games that will be made by them. I'd much rather have a better game take longer, then have one rushed out and not bothered to be fixed.
Personally, I don't care for the music, and this to me feels like a generic bullet hell on Kong with some added annoyances; It's never explained why at certain times you can suck up bullets (either just because, or sometimes they heal you!), which powerups do what, and the fact that bullets come in multiple colors make it harder to separate the powerups from them. This is almost a game where it's better to be colorblind...
Since finishing a level is by how many petals you're earning, and not how many seeds you place, or how far you get, hitting the extra petal sweet spots and getting the upgrade for more petals per seed makes the game progress much faster then anything else. Perhaps if there was some other bonus for getting farther, or planting extra seeds?
This game gave me a headache with the flashing, and I, for one, DON'T LIKE this kind of music. To me, the tag should have been "awful, head pounding music". Tutorial was a good idea, but I only played this long enough to get the BoTD, it was that annoying.
I'd like to see pets have more of a variety of skills, that match the pet. My town rat can cast two spells, but my mage rat doesn't have any. I'd say to add a few more skills, and limit which ones each type should get, so there's more reason to have multiple styles of pets, not just which ones have the skills you want.
It would be nice to see exactly how much the waiting score is improved with each item, since there's no way to tell if an expensive item is better or not then having a lot of cheap stuff.
This reminds me of Progress Quest, except this is heavily based on WoW, whereas PQ is based on MMO grinders in general. And it doesn't have any graphics. And there's less to do, since your character goes to the market for you and everything.
