Haha, I could see how you could think that. It actually wasn't out of laziness. I was using real work minerals and only had a handful of reasonable ones to use and people said it ended to quick. So Nanocrystalline was introduced to keep the game going while still maintaining real world references. As Nanocrystalline is a synthetic mineral that has been increasing in strength as our science technologies advance.
