You should be able to use it to get your progress back in like a minute or two. The loading bug should be fixed, but if you had saved your data before the fix there is no other way but to finish the game. UNLESS you had already finished the game, in which case you'll get the badge immediately once you reach the main menu. Sorry for the inconvenience.
go for magnet, multiple bullets, dmg, fire rate. in this order. buy the other upgrades too, but with this order, YOU become the bullet hell by mission 13-14.
this is the most entertaining game i've played on kong. art, mechanics, fun. much better than diablo III (did you know that you can start chain reactions in DIII if you pick exploding palm skill on monk? but this one's better :P)
