not a bad game but the struggle with beating levels is too big. I reached lvl 7 and I feel like I have to force myself to play. I think that this is the main issue that lowers the ratings
Hey Bananamama - we're trying to get to the bottom of this, is it possible to get your answers to the following:
- What browser are you using?
- If you reload the page, does your save game data come back?
We've seen this on our end and are looking into what is causing it, but in our cases we were able to simply hit reload on the browser and it would load correctly. We'll do our absolute best to have it figured out definitively before we leave the Beta. Thanks for reporting!
Very nice graphics. Rather unforgiving gameplay. Could use achievements or upgrades which are becoming a standard in flash games. Overall not bad :) cebularz.
The other commenter compared it to Dark Souls, and there is something to it - like DS, Lair is based on honing your skills until you're good enough to get through :).
Achievements and upgrades would definitely have a place in a bigger version of the game, but I was working under tight constraints for this one - the game was made for PICO-8, a retro console with very limited resources. The web version here is a special export from that console.
it's ok. pleasant gameplay. scoring form me could be removed but I simply do not care about it. What i dont like is that everything is gray. Background, buttons, fonts. Such a color palette I had in Workbench on Amiga in '90s
Cool thanks so much, we're looking at what might be causing this. Hoping it's solve-able but should have an answer soon i hope.
