Ironically, I got the medium badge before the easy one. Then I promptly farmed sketching and curiosity with sketching until I got 30, still had to use the reset thing.
Quick tip: If you jump out of the map, but stick to the outside of the walls (this works without the walls, but is harder) you can float along. This is especially useful in certain low power tunnel levels. (Or, you could use the skater, I guess)
It is meant to be a laser guided air strike that the army can call in every so often. If you see an army guy with the laser active you can often kill him before the 3 seconds is over to stop the bombs going off.
My strat: choose mage, max out water tree, get the defense and health stuff in earth tree, in fire tree get evade and speed. Equip yourself. For the boss, just keep dodging by jumping back. He should only be able to take out a third of your health, so it doesn't really matter. If you keep backing up and going forward you'll eventually defeat him. Don't worry about most of the peons.
