love the game, but here's some constructive criticisms: first, the turret rotating hotkey doesnt work--this is the single most annoying aspect of the game. there is far too much clicking involved... second, we should be able to paint units and buildings by holding down the mouse. third, the exciting "battle" music plays during the building phase, and the calmer music plays during the battle phase. :)
kill builder cards are a terrible and frustrating addition to the game. campaign=tediously and unnecessarily hard. otherwise great update on all other aspects. :)
After slogging through the first ten levels to get the first two badges, I have compiled a seven point plan of this game to have good happy success:
1. The absolute stinginess of gun points makes the game tedious; limiting their acquisition negates the joy of being able to create your own tank, which seems to be the purpose of this sequel in the first place.
2. The lack of popping bubbles on the enemy and the tank when damage is taken is a serious omission, and as iGark states is a dishonor to the flavor of the franchise.
3. Seeker drones have a too small hit detect radius, as evinced by small bullets frequently passing through them.
4. The red and black color scheme... ugh!
5. The annoying error messages are quite rude, as Boloholo stated.
6. Part of the fun of BT 2 is the danger of slipping out of your current bubble and losing your hard won bubble points. That was a fun element that is missing from BT Arenas.
7. Please take the highly rated comments to heart for BT 3!
this game is terrible. after playing for upwards of 30 minutes i have no idea what the plot or gameplay objectives are. the controls are horrible. when hit, you are dazed for an annoyingly long time, and to top it all off, every few minutes your levels are reset! baloney! obsessive level advancement is the sole joy of rpgs!! i hate this game and i hate my own obsessive compulsive personality that makes me torture myself playing it for that god forsaken kong quest, which by the way, it doesn't even fit into the theme of, as its not a classic pixelated throwback like the other games are. >:(
