As everyone else, I am blown away with the artwork and music. But the differences are way too easy to spot. So Ivory is still the undisputed King in these games.
I keep losing because I forget to train the cannons. It might be a good idea to add a security question to the "begin assault" button: "Sure you want to begin? Did you train your cannons?"
This game has a lot of potential once the basic flaws are fixed. The area where you can build should be smaller, and the maps should offer the attackers places to take cover - that would give the traps a purpose.
I like this game for all the obvious reason, sound, idea, graphics ... but still, a game where you operate only one single button is not a game, it's bulls***.
You can easily go twice as far as required in each level. If you can't, then you just have not figured out how this game works yet, so stop complaining. SPOILER - buy 1 thrust after level one, but 2 thrust + 1 ski after level two, and always use all thrusts right at the start. The end.
The game delivers. The only thing I hated is the time delay between getting hit and dying. It is soooo annoying when you think "boy that was close" and then are pronounced dead.
I truly dislike people who look down on those who "don't get it". Because odds are, they don't get it themselves. Stuff like this resonates with some people, while others find it pointless. That is meant to be. Criticising people who "don't get it" means that you missed the point.
Does the game adjust to party strength? It certainly seems so to me - each time I find great equipment, suddenly the next level is almost exclusively 5-6 enemies per group.
"Didn't Touch My Gems Badge" should either give 60 points, or should be changed to doing excellent 15 times, not brilliant (of course the name has to be changed then, too ;)
