I had no issues winning. Here's my strategy. Buy elevators as soon as possible, it's a lot easier if you don't have to move them around. On each floor I bought a machine gun, rocket launcher, and then a laser cannon. First I upgraded the machine gun turret to level 5 on each floor, then after all the machine guns were upgraded to 5 I upgraded my laser cannons and rocket launchers to level 2. I never had any chance of losing, but when one floor started to advance a bit further then the others I moved myself to it.
I played this a week ago and never died from running out of health, I didn't even know I had health. Now I come back and play it and I keep dying from not being able to extinguish myself in time or touching a few enemies. The annoying apart is it would seem there is no way to heal, ever. I'd hope you could heal by scoring a certain number of points but I never healed and died at 400,000 points. And about the people riding the dragon but not getting the achievement, there are two ways that you can "ride" the dragon. If you jump to it from below the dragon holds you and carries you along, if you jump onto it from above you ride it and have control to move it yourself. This may or may not be why some people haven't gotten it. I suppose it only unlocks if you jump onto the top of the dragon.
Well this sucks. I was level 24, quit, came back now, and it doesn't auto-save. I searched all over before I quit to see if you could save, but oh well.
Enough complaints about the energy, geez. I'd get bored fast if I played constantly...
With energy I'm encouraged to play for 5-10 minutes and come back in a few hours, or just the next day. Also, you don't need war bonds. So you can't say they make you pay to play.
