It's all bitmaps, no vectors, so a quality setting wouldn't change anything. I'm sorry it ran poorly for you. What flash version and browser are you using? If it's Chrome, try disabling the "pepper flash" plugin if you haven't already.
let me get this straight, you can accidentally quit the game and it sends you all the way back to the beginning without even asking you if you are sure? total bs
Walkthrough, please +: This game based on luck and decision making: A) Armor completely refills your health, any item you buy replaces the current item in your inventory. B) Try not to buy anything other than lifespan for as long as you can. Only buy potions/armor if you think you are going to die if you don't. C) With luck, you will eventually get a gold ticket, your goal is to have 500 available with enough health to survive one more battle. This will net you somewhere between 1500-2500 for that battle. D) Buy everything you can, but try to stay over 500. Buy armor when you need health E) Once you get to day 10 or so your priority should be to hold on to a divine edge for as long as possible. If you have one, only use it if you would die holding on to it. F) Use Divine Edge on the dragon and get the badge. Full sword: no enemy should give you too much trouble. Again, save buying armor for when you need health. Once you max on the armor, you can't use this tactic any more.
Just got the hard badge, most miserable gaming experience ever. It took me getting no less than 3 gold vouchers, early, and almost in a row to pull it off. Couldn't get past the 3rd dragon because I didn't have the Divine Blade which is the only way to beat him. Despite the luck involved in this game, it would be so much better if your experience level just determined your starting gold. A few hundred extra at the start makes a huge difference.
I like the game in concept, but I also hate the execution. It is far to reliant on luck of getting the gold voucher earlier, and only running into a dragon if you had the divine blade the item before. Just not a fair game.
I wouldn't say there is anything incredibly bad about this game, but it is hard to say anything that is incredibly good about it as well. The upgrade system could be tweaked a little bit. It becomes very apparent early in the game you are better off saving up for the final gun, which you can totally get away with because all of the enemies are easy enough to dodge that you don't need to upgrade at all. Levels are kinda boring after awhile, there isn't much variety.
Controls can be a pain because it is so easy to go out of the area. My big gripe is that achievements you unlock don't save until after you manage to beat the level you are on. If you die, any achievements in that level are lost. This makes it difficult to get the much needed upgrade points.
Also, I felt all clever at the end when I bombed the blue floor in the last room, hoping to find something cool. It just takes you back to the previous room.
Didn't like it as much as the first, because it doesn't seem like there was as much backtracking and metroid elements. Also, there really only seemed to be one puzzle right at the end where you really needed to work as a team. Everything else was just based on leaving your partner behind. Great concept. Kinda short though
Still a great game 4/5 Can't wait for Kolm 3
I played this on another site with cheat codes enabled, proving that beating hell is impossible without cheating, and most of the top scores in the leaderboards cheated as well
Tips:
Buzzsaw is the best tower in the game. Work towards getting it to level 4.
Sams are worthless unless you get them to level 3. You are better off with upgraded sentrys.
Don't bother with the flamethrower or laser gun.
It is almost always better to upgrade your current tower than build another one. Check the damage charts if you don't believe me.
